Somehow there were only 4 total assist tackles awarded to both teams combined. How can that possibly be?

It's extreme, but not uncommon for the Jacksonville stat crew at times. Looked like they'd improved a bit earlier this year (there were more than ten assists in two earlier games). Interestingly, the Rams' home stat crew is usually top five in fewest assists credited.

I have noticed over the years from being both a Mike Peterson and Will Witherspoon owner in the past that both teams are very stingy with assists. I was trying to be sarcastic with this post because there is no way that just about every tackle in today's game was made cleanly by one player.

Compare this game to the assists handed out in the Bills/Jets game. David Harris was getting assists for breathing on ball carriers. lol

It is to the point where it is getting ridiculous. David Harris had 10 assists alone today. He was literally in the same zip code as the ball carrier and getting credit for them. While the entire Jags team didn't even have 1 assist? LOL
