To be fair to him, he's one of the few quality guys they've got left on defense so LA is probably just avoiding him.

No. Hawks had just stopped them, had one time out left. The Rams sent the punter out and the Seattle called their last time out. What the actual mother ####

I guess they were trying to save the 20 some seconds or something. Who the #### knows. Carrol isn’t exactly a master tactician.

No. The timeout must be called there. If not, Hawks would have been left 1 minute, and most likely starting from their own 20. 40 seconds is more valuable that saving the timeout.
I guess I didn't see how much time had run BEFORE he actually called the timeout, so maybe I'm off, but if it was called rigtt away, I think it's the right call

Doesn't matter that punt team was coming on. It's all about preserving the clock. Gurley ran at -1:52 mark. Knock off 3-4 seconds for the play. That means the 40 second game clock would have started around 1:48 You just cannot let 40 seconds run off under when you will have to march the field. Even with punt team coming in, LA would not have snapped the ball until the clock was all the down. Time is way too valuable there

You need the ball first. Was loving that Rams weren’t going for it. What’s the conversion rate on a half yard to gain this year? I guarantee if you could get Carroll to answer honestly he crapped his khakis when he saw McVey change his mind.
