Tri-Man: doing the simulated hills, you worked the same muscles you have been working, but you worked them harder. Muscle pain = you broke them down = they'll get stronger as they heal
I started my 12 week schedule for my half marathon in March this morning. I ran a slow 5, and was ecstatic to have little to no calf pain. IF this thing is good to go, it will be my quickest (by far) comeback after a calf injury. I'll attribute it to the OxySox IF it is a full recovery. I'm coming off a very long weekend of hunting/partying (5 straight days of eating and drinking everything within my reach), so I need to get back at this before I join Gruecd and BnB as Clydesdales (NTTAWWT).
I'm in the market for new shoes again, and am contemplating getting Asics Kayano's instead of my normal Nimbus. If anyone has thoughts on the Nimbus, let me know.
I also have some pretty big news on the home front. Mrs. Liquors has been a stay at home mom for the most part for the past 8 years. She became a licensed massage therapist a year and a half ago, but decided not to pursue it as a career. After a major mid-life crisis this summer, she decided to pursue becoming a police officer (both of her brothers, and one of her sister in laws are po-po). Prior to this summer, the only other mention that she had of wanting to be a police officer was when she was 19, and we were first dating. Now, 18 years later, she just got offered a position with our local police force. She'll be having orientation the last 2 weeks of January, will go to the Academy for 3 months starting in February, prior to hitting the streets to catch bad-guys/gals. I couldn't be more proud of her, and it's been amazing watching her go after this. My running/training time might suffer a bit, but we'll figure that out as we move forward.

Didn't run yesterday, but I just got back from the gym after doing a quick lunchtime 7-miler. I couldn't get out of bed this morning, and I have a client meeting tonight, so lunch was my only option. That being said, it's kinda nice to break up the day like that, and I feel totally energized right now. I think I'm going to start working that into my schedule a couple of times per week.
Wish me luck!!!

No only because of the Lions weak D, but also because of Hightower's bum hand and case of fumbleitis on Monday Night, Wells will be the man. With Fitz out or limited, they still have Breaston & Boldin, but may not need to pass with a big lead and will keep in on the ground.
Remind me/us ..previous marathons; time goal for this one.
