The shop that sponsors my multi-sport team has brought on this guy to coach. I have already done a run class and bike class with him. Great guy and big asset to our team. Even in his retired condition the guy was north of 350w over 20 min.
What did he have you do for the bike class?
warm up
5 min LT - 40 watt, 1 min easy, 5 min LT - 40 watt, 1 min easy
5 min tempo
3 min LT- 20, 1 min easy, 3 min LT-20, 1 min easy, 3 min LT-20, 1 min easy
5 min tempo
2 min LT+10, 1 min easy, repeat 4 more times
I struggled coming off a hard bike work out the day before. Legs were shredded as my last 4 sets (5 min ea) were at 300w and I tested at 261 watts for my 20 min power number 3 weeks prior. I'm using that class for my LT work and keeping the running in the lower zones in an attempt to keep my volume up.
