Quick update at 3 weeks post surgery:
Calf pain continues to slowly decline. I can now bound up stairs 2 at a time when I'm not thinking about it. Still have tingling sensation in foot that moves around and the intensity & location in the foot varies from day to day. The first minute of the day after sleeping is about the only time that there is any calf pain and it's minor at that.
I'm doing PT and that's going good with typical PT stretching/stretching with very little pain. No big deal at all. Now walking up to 20-30 minutes at a time. After this time, there is some soreness, but not a huge ordeal.
Basically, the last 1-2 weeks are lots of tingling / shock sensation that improves from day to day. Wound site looks good now and I should be good to get in the pool next weekend.
Still looking at mid-Feb return to jogging/running.
Lastly, I've successfully put on a bunch of lbs. since surgery. None of it muscle.
