You guys may get the storm we are getting this week next week in your area. And we are getting like 5-7 inches of rain through this weekend. Which will flow down the Missouri River, of which some of this race is run near. Just something to keep an eye on.They've been doing recon on the trail. The Katy trail is in good shape. The single tracks are getting better.
We aren't scheduled to get rain except one day this week. Temps are 90 all week as a high. Things should be in good shape.
Just need it to cool off the following week.
What's our official team name again?
Just looked at extended forecast, looks like "possible" thunderstorms every day next week including the last day being race day. Who knows. But temps will drop to highs of upper 70s by the end of the week which is good. You guys may get the storm we are getting this week next week in your area. Thanks for this. Lot's of great visuals on what we can expect.
This is most of what we are all running. Thanks for this. Lot's of great visuals on what we can expect.![]()
"Is that a packed FlipBelt or are you just happy to see me?"Boston Date Run Report 2019
Of note, he never even noticed the FlipBelt until I showed it off at the very end.
Beet me to that joke."Is that a packed FlipBelt or are you just happy to see me?"
The inner thighs after the first round of swings in months may be quiet now. Wednesday though. Those ####ers will bark with a vengeance.Did a bunch off kettle bell swings and wall balls at lunch today and then ran tonight... first "2 a day" I've done in a long time. Might not be able to walk or lift my arms tomorrow...
Did you hold hands like the Pauls?
And we aren't holding hands like the Pauls.
I think a Flip Belt should be the entire kit for each of you for the relay. Just tuck and run."Is that a packed FlipBelt or are you just happy to see me?"
I think we need more than 1, though. Otherwise that's not very hygeinic. And it won't affect our time.I think a Flip Belt should be the entire kit for each of you for the relay. Just tuck and run.
Kinda looking forward to hitting the weight room, starting in a week or two.The inner thighs after the first round of swings in months may be quiet now. Wednesday though. Those ####ers will bark with a vengeance.
It's a long game that requires patience, but whatever speed I am right now will be attributed to that work over the last 6 months. It's also part due to volume adaptation, but my recovery lately has been substantially better than I ever recall. The sequencing I'm doing right now would have been silly to even consider attempting any time in the previous few years. Last Thursday was the first time since Fall in which I experienced any sort of discomfort during/after a workout - left heel cut my track workout short. It was still a little tender before I began Friday's 13 mile adventure but it loosened up, I finished fast, and despite 8 hours of track the next day it never bothered me once. 3 years ago that thing would probably still be bothering me now.Kinda looking forward to hitting the weight room, starting in a week or two.

I technically started last week but I'm "easing into it slowly". Actually I was doing some work there a month or so ago but pretty sporadic. Trying to get to a point of doing it at least a couple days a week. I know it will good for me overall, just trying to make sure I don't over-do-it the first few workouts and then avoid it indefinitely...Kinda looking forward to hitting the weight room, starting in a week or two.
And on the 5th try to get things reconnected, Bluetooth is working again.Check Garmin support, its great. My watch altimeter went, got a new watch for $100.
It turned out being a blessing in disguise, but that's why I passed on the Cleveland Half Marathon this year. And probably will for the next couple decades. Cause this is what this weekend will be like as long as my boys do track. Track meet #1 8-12, 20 min drive home, swap out morning kid/food/clothes for afternoon, 20 minute drive out to track meet #2, 30 minute run, track meet #2 1:30-5:30. No way was I racing the morning after that.-OZ- said:Good God man!
Ugh, my wife was just reading that story. Just awful. It turned out being a blessing in disguise, but that's why I passed on the Cleveland Half Marathon this year. But it wasn't racing conditions anyway Sad finish to a day that left thousands well short of the goals they worked for months towards accomplishing. It ended up being even hotter and muggier than I teased earlier last week. There were supposed to be some clouds in the morning to keep things cooler, but it was all sun so it got up north of 80 fast.
I responded to you, but it's Open vs Masters.Hey @gianmarco - are we in the Open division or Competitive? I think you said Open if I remember correctly.
Plenty of time for extra dumps.Start time just emailed. 8am. That's really late. Because you ####ers are so fast.
With all that beet juice it's going to look like a murder scene.....Plenty of time for extra dumps.
I've been pretty much the same weight since college@-OZ-, @JAA
I know I've left out some other swimmers so my apologies.
Do you find that your swim times get better when lighter? I'm slow in all 3 events but I've always seen that my run and bike times improve some as I lose weight. Swim doesn't seem to be impacted. I know it's so much about form/technique and the extra fat probably helps me float but man was I slow when I got out for a swim - expected at least a little better.
I believe I've lost a bit of weight ...certainly at a lower weight than when I got married at age 27. (Hence the problem with marathon training, since I have little left to lose.)I've been pretty much the same weight since college![]()
I have lost some muscle and gained a bit of fat, but I haven't noticed much change in the swim. Of course I'm older and less bendy now.
Swimming is the one event I don't think there's much difference when you weigh a bit more.
That's a lot of grades to cover! Congrats on the city championship!!!K-2 boys, 2nd place

Those moments the last 4 days are why I coach. And needing our high jumper in the final event to pr by 6" to clinch the victory could not have been a better ending.
3-8 practice together and are in all the same meets but two weekends. Those weekends are chaotic though. I'm exhausted and dont care right now. That's a lot of grades to cover! Congrats on the city championship!!!

Your leg 5 is gonna be the worst I think. That mountain you are going to have to scale looks like a beeeyotch. Of course I get to scale it coming back on Leg 6, but what the hell - it will be fun-ish.8 miles this morning at 5,200+ feet in Denver. Averaged 7:46/mile. Humidity supposedly mimics altitude, so that's probably my absolute worst-case scenario if it's God-awful hot/humid for any of my relay legs. That being said, plan is still to suck it up and run sub-6:30. And then die.
I posted links to the Strava segments for the 4 trail legs. I'll find them. I'll also look on the relay FB page because I think someone posted all of them and I'll post it here. Gimme a few.@gianmarco - I think somewhere in that gmail you posted links to all the segments on strava for the relay. Can you post that here? I'm finding it dang near impossible to find old emails in that string. Hate gmail sometimes.

Actually, between those and the ones I created, I can post them all here. Give me an hour or so.From the desktop site, you can go to segment search and search by name. Do KT82 and it pulls up almost all of them. I'm on my phone now but will try to post them later.
Try this for now
