I don't have the guy, but I was just looking at the playoff matchups and thinking gosh, he could get awful cheap with what appears to be delicious playoff matchups.

Week 13: vs Houston (don't guess i need to explain this one)

Week 14: @ Cinci (uh, behind, early......Cinci DB's aren't that tough)

Week 15: vs St Louis (ok, looked good for one game on D....I think last 5 years is more telling)

Week 16: vs Kansas City (dang, 4 potential shootouts in a row)

All of this of course provided he doesn't:

:tfp:

Where would you rank him?? Plus any comments are appreciated (and keeps the thread going).

In a PPR Moss's value falls some, even if he DOES play great. He has always been a "home run" type guy, but doesn't get as many catches as some of the other top guys. And even before the games this weekend, I was not convinced he will play great. In my PPR I picked Chambers over him (email me at the end of the year and we can talk about whether that was big mistake). :D who knows?

I think Moss is a huge buy low. He still had 4 catches for 47 yds last week and everyone is complaining

While I agree it's not that bad of a week the bigger concern for me was the way the offense looked. Moss is primarily a deep threat, he's not a great route runner and with the way Oakland's O line looked Brooks (or whoever is in at QB) will have no time to get it to him deep.

I am convinced that Moss will produce now he is healthy.

The Ravens are a tough test, as are the Steelers in week eight, but I am happy apart from those two games.

Chad Johnson had one more yard than Moss last week. I dont see anyone panicing about that. Nor should they.

He could smoke the ravens Cornerbacks. They are a HIGHLY over ratted group. Ed Reed is a problem, but I would imagine a quality offense coordinator woud scheme Moss away from Reed. But the Raiders lack a quality O Coordinator, offensive line and only have a decent QB.Moss is a stud, and he will get it done, maybe not this weekend. But he will plenty this season and get back into the Top 10.He's too good to suck...

That's not a very productive week for a top tier WR, though is it?
not really. but not exactly a reason to jump ship either. that is why i am happy to grab him in any league if an owner panics after a 4/47/0 game. everyone knows moss is usually a feast or famine wr, and i think this is even more true now that brooks is the qb.

I'd rank these guys all above moss right now:

1- harrison

2 - wayne

3 - Fitz

4 - boldin

5 - holt

6 - TO

7 - chad j

8 - s smith

9 - chambers

I see moss somewhere at the top of this tier, so 11-15 sounds about right.

randy

s moss

driver

ward

plax

roy w

i think he falls out of the top 10. the offense looked terrible. he's already begun to quit plays and its only week 1.

I got him as a 2nd WR.

Seemed in my homer draft everyone either forgot about him,

or was afraid of him. Think I'll keep him.

I think that, as a general rule, everyone way overreacts to the first game, both positively and negatively. It was one game. Let us PLEASE not extrapolate this one game over 16 games.

It is a small (very small) sample size. We need to keep this in mind.

harrison and wayne #1 and #2???????

The only encouraging thing I saw Monday night was a couple of plays where Brooks looked over, saw the SD DB playing Randy about 10 yards off the line, and audibled to a quick pass (he may have not even changed the play). It amounts to a running play, and if the DB whiffs, Randy could get some yardage up the sideline.

In games where Brooks gets even a few seconds of pass protection, he should be able to take advantage of this, force the DB to play closer to the line, and open the door for Randy to get deep.

They looked horrible Monday night, but at least this gives me some hope that they are working on getting him the ball in a few different ways.

What would help is if Porter could keep his mouth shut, get back on the field and command some attention on the other side of the field. Getting Jordan going would help as well.

it's not a ranking, I was just numbering from 1 to whatever to count them.

He's already getting shopped in my non-ppr league. Hoping he is average again and I might get in the sweepstakes. Although, his price seems pretty low right now.....

The Moss owner was talking about a Moss/Droughns for Williamson/KevJones trade. I told him he's nuts if he does that right now.

Yeah but Chad has an offense that will get him the ball. You can't say that about Randy.I saw a play where he just gave up. Maybe it was uncatchable, maybe it wasn't.

This poll actually surprised me, I didn't think that the majority would put him in the top 10. I've always been scared of the guy after getting burned one year but I think pretty clear he is still respected (from an FFL perspective only).

I love his playoff matchups, but seriously worry about him quitting on the team towards the end of the year with a hamstring or groin injury. I kinda doubt the Raiders bring him back next year, but that is just a hunch.

If the Raiders don't turn things around quickly, Moss will become frustrated and lose interest in playing hard like he has in the past. That's just the way he is. A. Brooks and the O-Line looked terrible on Monday. Throw in the loss of Doug Gabriel and J. Porter sitting on the sidelines. This leaves Moss on his own. He'll surely have big games sprinkled throughout the season, but consistency will be his problem with all of the issues in Oakland right now.

Moss = lots of talent + lots of issues (the reason the Vikings dumped him)

Carson Palmer had a running game and remained upright more often than not.Aaron Brooks can claim neither thing. There's the reason I worry about Moss - that oline is atrocious and won't give Jordan the room to run nor Brooks the time he needs to pass.Of course, Brooks could have a half hour and still not be able to carry Palmer's jock.

Hard to be upset when you have Palmer as your QB.Compare that to Brooks and the rest of the team.Still early but it could get bad for moss plus he is always upset about something

My how opinions change after just a few short weeks. Only 3% thought he was no longer top 20. Wow.
I have him in a PPR league and he killed me last week , I lost by 3 pts !!! He's too inconsistent right now for me to trust him in my line up week in and week out. I'll have to play the matchup game now but even then who knows with R Moss ??? He did OK vs Denver earlier in the season but horrible last week...I guess Denver made some adjustments and Moss did not... because he's relying on his talent
