Randy Moss Waived (confirmed) (1 Viewer)

pretty sure this guy hits the FA, why would any team claim him and his contract without knowing he wants to be a part of their team.
I would think he'd want to be a part of 6 million owed to him or whatever. He can then dog per usual.
I thought Minny foots that bill if he becomes a FA, and he gets a new contract. I guess what I meant earlier about being "a part of their team" is giving effort
Yep Minny would have to pay him the rest of his 6.4M salary (which I think would be about 3.38M) and then he would be able to sign with anyone for whatever they would be willing to pay him.

A favorite local restaurant catered the Vikings' buffet Friday. Moss went up to the table and yelled, "What the [expletive]? Who ordered this crap? I wouldn't feed this to my dog!" Per the St. Paul Pioneer-Press, the room got quite except for one player who said, "Shut the (expletive) up, Randy." Brett Favre even shot Moss the stink eye. The Vikes also had concerns about Moss' poisonous attitude rubbing off on Percy Harvin. Coach Brad Childress reportedly explained, "This just doesn't fit with how we treat people, how we talk to people and how we act."

So, I'm not understanding why Randy Moss is getting treated worse than Michael Vick all of a sudden.
This is the typical circle the wagons type of news "leaked" by confidential team insiders. IMO this is part of the package deal when sending a third to NE to acquire Randy. No way is this the sole reason they'd part ways with him. That being said I know that I'll be eternally grateful for Tinucci's providing a holiday meal of steaks for my mom and I when she was stationed overseas. Being able to see and talk to her over on the video conference after the meal was more important than words can impart. So many families of our Service men and women were given a small bit of solace during some very lonely holiday seasons thanks to them.

Jared Allen was just on Sirius. He didnt mention the buffet thing at all. He said Randy was a good teammate and not thought of as a rental. He said moss was into the team and was giving good speeches etc for Dallas and pats game at halftime. This situation is a joke. How can an owner or gm stand for this crap from a coach who complains about his players in the media?
I don't live in MN anymore, but I wouldn't support a stadium deal for the ownership and management at this time. They have no clue. The owner needs to fire Chilly and soon.

Ranked No. 22 in the NFL waiver priority order, the Titans have reportedly submitted a waiver claim for Randy Moss Rotoworld

No buzz? Looks like they can keep a secret when they need to....
Who were you expecting to hear news from? No team would publicly state that they put a claim in on Moss since they wouldn't want any team below them to claim them for themselves and block them. Noone really knows who got him until the league processes the claims. Once a team has been notified by the league, I'm sure they will call a press conference.

Citing a source close to Randy Moss, Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Moss would be willing to sit out the remainder of the season if he dislikes the team that claims him off waivers.

Moss reportedly “wants a ring” from the team that claims him. Moss’ agent, Joel Segal, has likely made the receiver’s feelings known throughout the league. Obviously, it’s going to be a prohibitive factor for less competitive clubs. According to Rapoport, Moss visited the Jets’ facility on Tuesday because “He sees their potential and realizes their lack of deep threat.” Moss apparently isn’t a big Braylon Edwards fan. For what it’s worth, Bodog.com has the Rams as the favorites for Moss at 7/2. He’ll be officially claimed at 4ET. Nov. 3 – 2:10 pm et

Randy Moss-WR-Vikings Nov. 2 - 3:15 pm et Yahoo! Well, with Favre, it's probably referring to his junk. You know, the stink eye. :lmao:
