I can sleep easier this winter knowing deep down the Yanks wouldn't have beaten Texas anyway. This team is a machine right now.

Can anyone think of a worse starting pitching staff than the Rangers getting this far?
theyre pitching staff is pretty solid imo. cj wilson is pretty damn good, holland has had his moments this yr, ogando was an all star, colby is very inconsistnent but can be dominant at times, and harrison has great stuff. im not saying they have a dominant staff but id bet they wouldnt even be in the top 20 worst pitching staffs to make a Ws. heck the cardinals staff is worse right now

They have a 7+ ERA in the ALCS and have had one guy go six innings or more in ten playoff games.

Other than the team they are beating right now?
Really? :lmao:
This staff has been exceptional all year. The team is about to go 7-3 in the playoffs and to the WS. You really are going to continue talking #### about them?
The bullpen and hitting is great, the starting pitching is terrible. I'm sorry you aren't going to recognize it, they will not be getting one win in this series yet you somehow think they are awesome. lol

Playoffs are the biggest sample size of all, I would think a Yankee fan would get that.

the tigers have the worst postseason era out of all 4 al teams this year. so by your definition above the tigers staff is worse

and yet the tigers have a 5.04 era in the postseason before tonight. worst out of all four al playoffs teams

Congrats to Bogart, Disco Stu, Culdeus and all the other Ranger fans out there. Give those senior leaguers some ####, especially if it's the Cards. Great team, bullpen and hitting is as good as it gets. :nolan:

Tigers starting pitching had a 3.77 ERA coming into tonight, 2nd best among playoff teams. Man you're not good at this.

The Rangers staff is having a rough post-season so far, but they were great in the regular season. Wilson, Harrison, Holland, Ogando, and Lewis combined for a WAR of nearly 20, which looks like the top starting 5 in the AL.

Still easily second genius. When you figure out how to manipulate simple databases, start arguing with me.

Worse in the postseason? Probably not. The starters have been disappointing. No way around that. Pretty amazing the team is able to keep winning though, which is all that matters. :banned:

Nelson Cruz is such a badass. :lmao:

Simply terrific, these Rangers can hit a bit. Just think, most of the guys haven't hit for power yet. Brewers or Cards in trouble, amazing.

All they need is average starts. Starting pitching in these playoffs has been bad all around, and with that bullpen you don;t need a whole lot. I like Harrison, any chance he moves up in the order. Lewis seems decent, Wilson has an established track record. Not a fan of Holland, he should be your #4 at this point IMO. One of my best friends is at the game as a Tigers fan and says the dooshbag factor is zero. Congrats to rangers fans for being leveled and classy, not sure if I'll root for you in the WS because of a bet but if you play the Cards, count me in as a bandwagon fan.

Much respect to all Ranger fans on these boards. You support the best team in the League in a very classy way. Best wishes in the World Series!

Rangers were a better team. Every part of the lineup is dangerous. Their bullpen is strong enough that they really only need to get 4 decent innings out of their starters. When the Tigers starters get knocked out before 6 it is over. The best chance last night was to probably let Max try to pitch out of that, but Max did not have his best stuff last night. Good luck in the WS Rangers.

Leyland should be fired, it dont matter what you do in the regular season. The point is not to have a good regular season, but to win the championship...and Leyland made so many horrible mistakes he should be out, fired.

So tell me Leyland, what was the benefit of saving Fister?

You cant play in a game 7 if you dont win game 6.

If you start Scherzer in a must win when Fister is available and you dont win, you should lose your job if your willing to take gambles like that.

Plus telling the other teams who is available in our Pen is beyond moronic.

Austin Jackson is the worst lead off hitter in all of baseball.

Still trying to wrap my head around that third inning last night. That was the greatest 40 minutes I have had in a long time.

:hifive:I think that's a pretty typical Ballpark experience. It's a very family friendly place. Opposing fans won't get much grief unless they purposely draw a lot of attention to themselves by being jackasses. Red Sox nation>hi. One Giants fan in my section for game 5 got a lot of congratulations from everyone around him. Another got escorted out by police. For some reason he thought the centerfield grass was a good place to watch the bottom of the ninth.

except with more death!

It was a very even series, but by game six I knew the Tigers would be stealing one from a slightly better team if they pulled it out. I feared Murphy and Cruz the most coming into the series as those two just seemed to repeatedly bludgeon the Tigers, and that's what they did. As everyone has said, the Rangers line-up proved too deep, the bull-pen embarrased the Tigers' hitters, and they took care of business on their homefield.

Congrats to Rangers fans and good luck.
