Hurns has a hernia and is now concussed

Walters has a concussion after week 10

Anyone have any thoughts on this guy? opportunity is there and we know Jacksonville's schedule isn't very difficult the rest of the way

Edited to update Hurns info.

There were whispers that some in the front office like Greene over Marqise Lee.

His first 2 weeks he had 9 catches for 35 yards and 2 drops.

Jags thought enough of him to use their only short-term IR slot on him.

He figures to line up in the slot. Walters was signed to replace Greene as teh slot receiver when Greene went down.

I think he's most valuable in an IDP league where you get points for his punt and kick return yards.

I don't know how much game shape he will be in, but I like Greene. Hurns may play. Yesterday Gus said that Hurns was just getting his abdominal issue checked out, and Gus said he wasn't too concerned about it. However, something could have changed after Hurns saw the specialist.

One must think this is yet another solid addition to Blake Bortles and his likely fantasy output.

Greene may be of interest, but its hard to see him being a monster producer, especially at first.

Even if Hurns misses a month, like the above poster mentioned, game shape may still be a week or two away, and by the time he gets truly up to speed, Hurns may either be healthy or more of a factor.

Greene did get 13 targets in week one, and I'm betting Bortles has a good rapport with him from camp and preseason work.

No matter how you look at it, this has got to be yet another piece to help Bortles down the stretch, and as an owner in one league its encouraging reading this.

Guy's a strong pick-up IMO... He was a target machine early on in the season, and Bortles was looking for him a lot. I think there's still opportunity there, even with Hurns and Robinson working the perimeter. Julius Thomas is doing nothing for this team... Greene can be a safety valve in the middle and work as a seam-stretcher as well. Return yardage is just gravy for those leagues where it counts.

Ty, did a search and saw nothing... No idea why. I think Greene has the potential to be a poor mans Wes Welker type who gets a lot of shorter looks. Could hold value come playoff time or even next season for dynasty owners

Should be back this week I think.

Lee seems stuck in between developing and being injured.

They threw a zillion short passes to him like Titans did with a younger Kendall Wright. A handful of them are fine but if a QB falls in love with the 2-3 yard passes the O is going to stink. With that caveat, I really like a 4th option added to this already dynamic group.

Full practice for Hurns monday and tuesday. He has been seeing this specialist a handful of times this season already; so nothing new per the team. Wonder when he hurt himself? I've never had a sports hernia but if it was affecting his day to day life and being a professional player I dont think they would put surgery off.

Hurns has been going to the specialist since after week 3 against NE.

In hate those guys who say, "well I tore my ACL in high school and let me tell you..." However I had a sports hernia that went undiagnosed for four years because there is no lump. I had pain in my lower abdomen traveling down to the testicle. So imagine a very low level "kick to the nuts" feeling all day, made worse by standing, running, etc. at least that was mine. Don't know what his issue is specifically. Patients I work with, every injury, every rehab process is very different.

Bump. Thoughts?
He's a little bugger that I think they should continue to use as they do. They have two excellent deep threats and/or outside wide receivers capable of taking it to the house. If Greene can get any attention whatsoever, that's in their favor.

I totally prefer their offense with him over with Marqise Lee. I don't think they need a normal slot or a WR that pushes Hurns to the slot or any of that.

The other thing Greene gives them is space. He "operates" so close to the line of scrimmage that Robinson seems to have no one anywhere near him.

Their line isn't the best and Bortles could use a quick panic outlet too.

I like him. I think the Jags will probably try to get too much out of their slot and wreck this, but with Greene they are all set. If their O isn't rolling, it's not because of the WRs. Watch them put a more typical WR in there and he'll crowd the TE or ...oh I don't know, I just am afraid they can mess this up.

For FF, as long as he's in a role, he should be able to cover a bye. 5-6 catches for 20 yards seems like nothing but there are weeks 8 points is fine.
