Shanahan will welcome Portis back to the lineup Sunday in Tennessee. The groin injury that has kept Portis on the sidelines since the Oct. 3 win at Philadelphia is finally healthy enough for the ninth-year running back to return to the field.

"It's exciting to be back," Portis said. "I felt good."
Shanahan wouldn't discuss Portis's exact role Sunday against the Titans.

"I'm not going to go into detail about workload we'll give him, but he's going to play in the game," Shanahan said.

Per Adam Shefter (Twitter) via Rotoworld, Portis will not only play but will also start:

Clinton Portis-RB- Redskins Nov. 21 - 9:40 am et ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Clinton Portis (groin) is expected to start Sunday's Week 11 game against Tennessee. As we discussed earlier this week, Mike Shanahan backfields are far from reliable sources of fantasy value. There's no telling who will handle the bulk of the carries, but we tentatively expect Keiland Williams to be the main back, even with Portis starting. That being said, a tough matchup against Tennessee makes both Williams and Portis unattractive options for Week 11.Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter

The Rat at his best. I grabbed Williams as inusrance but NEVER want a shanarat back on my roster . Cant wait to drop him tuesday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Keiland Williams will not draw the start in Week 11.

That distinction will go to Clinton Portis. Knowing Mike Shanahan, the only guarantee is that Portis will get the first carry of the game; everything else is a crapshoot. Williams came into Sunday as our 27th ranked running back for Week 11, but the news that Portis is seemingly healthy enough to be the team's starter makes Williams even less of an attractive play.
