Whats the SP feel on this... chances are, KSmith will break down or tire at some pt this season and miss games... most Starting RB Rookies always miss games. So the #2 RB in Det should have be starting at some Pt. I know Brain Calhoun was on the bubble... but he just had a nice 40 yd run; I'm guessing that after this game... BC will be named #2 and Someone will be cut.

Damn....forgot about 'toose. he didn't play much at all today. Calhoun and Cason both looked better than Bell though. considerably.

Pinner plays special teams and Calhoun doesn't. Unless Calhoun blew him away, I can't see him being kept over Pinner. Calhoun has been very ordinary. Cason is a lock already. Bell seems to be going through the motions and I can't imagine him being here. I am going to go way out on a limb and predict the Lions will pick up Ahman Green or Chris Brown if either is cut.

T Bell came in next, took 4 carries and gain 9 yds w/ a couple of Recs

Calhoun Started the 2nd Quarter and gained the most yards out of all RB w/ 61 on 9 Carries.

Pinner Cleaned up w/ 5 Carries for 10 Yards.

Niether RB really was impressive..

K Smith had 10 Carries for 45, but a long of 35 yds... take out that long and u got 9 carries for 10 yds, 1 YPC

Calhoun went 9 for 61 w/ a long of 40 yds... take out the long and u got 8 for 21, 3 YPC

Bell and Pinner both had 2 YPC.

Like I said... Most Rookies that Start the season as the starter will breakdown and miss a couple of games t... the NFL season is much longer than the college season, and its very rare that a rookie can hold up to starter level thier season. I guess you just have to watch gootball to know that.

Then Factor in the amount of carries Smith took last yr... its a good bet he'll miss a couple of games this yr.

I haven't really seen enough of Kevin Smith, but my first instinct is to say he isn't really an every down back. I think we find that out this year in the NFL, but again I have only seen him so much.

Tatum Bell is worthless, don't draft him in the 30th round

Who's next: Geez. honestly the answer is it doesn't matter, guys. Nobody you want to start, however my guess today is Cason with Calhoun. Calhoun was a more recent draft pick and I think they'd keep him over Pinner who's had his chances, even though there's very little difference seperating any of these guys.
