I see him as a threat to score on any given week and eased more and more into handling the ball. Perhaps 10 carries and 5 receptions seem reasonable. 

Lost Cook and plugging in Kamara next week over the likes of D Martin, A Abdullah, and D Mixon. I like the way he turns the corner. The kid has the burst factor, which turns into scoring opportunities. Am I crazy to like him over Martin?

With Kamara on bye still watching to see some other obscure RB who may do well this week.

I haven't followed the Saints special teams but is he the weekly Kick Returner? It's hard to gauge with the NFL kicking 95% through the endzone these days.

That's true as long as those are PPR receptions.  I get 1pt per 25 return yards, so it's looking like he was netting an extra 1-2 points a week off those.  Seems like a safe floor.

i wouldnt say AP being traded is going to result in more Kamara touches.... AP was barely playing anyway. But, Kamara is a mark ingram injury away from being a high end RB1...

Yup. Gotta believe a bunch of new plays were installed during the bye week that integrate Kamara even more into the offense...I would assume to include many as a decoy so not so obvious he's getting the ball when on the field.

IMO it doesn't mean he's going to get a ton more touches than last week when he had 15, but it does mean that he's likely to stay in the teens (as opposed to the ~7 he averaged the first 3 weeks).

In PPR Kamara by a fair margin. In standard it's closer but probably still Kamara.

Snaps - 42%, 54%, 50%, 62%

Kamara

Utilization - 13, 8, 7, 15

Snaps - 50%, 26%, 29%, 35%

You can see Peterson pretty much disappeared in week 4. The truth is I think Ingram probably gets the largest bump of the two, but they both see a bump. If Kamara's utilization can hang around 12-15 with 65% of his utilization coming in the form of targets he'll be super valuable in PPR leagues.

I think he could but Ingram is a good RB. This should be a committee and it makes sense since both RBs are quite good.

I agree with this statement (saying Peyton has not done this in the past) However he did make the comparison of Kamara to Marshall Faulk. I think if he had Faulk on his team, he probably would have used him for the lion's share. Those are his words. I think in the past he has never had a back with Kamara's well rounded skillset all in one RB. Potential is there. Ingram has never been Peyton's favorite. type of back, neither was AP, which was very odd as to why they went after him.

Targeted him last week while under the bye radar, and passed on D Martin, who really looked very good on TNF. Now Kamara sits as our #2 RB (lost Cook). After watching A Jones and J McKinnon looking at Flex opportunities. Perhaps Jones gets relegated to sharing with Ty; can McKinnon become the lead back in MIN and a bonafide RB #2? 

Cook owner looking to fill in the void, and not really happy with TD Gilly in the FLEX knowing NE will be throwing more...

ADD: I believe more plays will be added to go along with Kamara's skill set in Peyton's offense this week and moving forward. Here's to rolling the dice on this kid! I like the way he runs. You had me at hello.

I think that's slightly insane. How many RBs in the top 10 are averaging 35% of the snaps and are being utilized ~10 times per game? I understand that AP is now gone but for all intents and purposes he wasn't there in week 4 either. I love Kamara and I'm heavily invested but I doubt he sees the type of volume to sustain RB1 numbers. He's been highly efficient on his touches in the mold of Chris Thompson earlier this year but that's not bankable on weekly basis. I view him as a RB2 with a high PPR floor.

Theo Riddick was Top 10 in PPR last season before he got hurt while averaging 14 touches per game. Sproles was Top 10 a few seasons ago in this offense averaging 11-12 touches per game.

It may not be easy, especially this season with so many strong RB options but I don't think it's out of the question to project Top 15 status in PPR for Kamara going forward. A few more TDs or breaks in his favor and Top 15 could easily become Top 10.

Ingram's utilization has increased weekly (11>13>18>22) and he played on a season high 62% snaps in week 4. Payton is going to use Ingram, yes.

Good question, and I am glad I do not have that dilemma. Ingram seems to be the workhouse back who'll get you 15 carries and 60-70 yards 2-4 receptions for 30 yards and a half a chance to score a TD. Kamara is dynamic, catches a ton of passes, probably destined to rush 5-10 now, special plays coming his way, and like ya'll said, Payton loves this kid. Tough not to root for Kamara. Ingram is the safer play, but it is an interesting question and we will see...

Same dilemma as you but I don't have a locked in #1 like that, I have Ajayi.  The saints are at home this week so because of that I'm giving serious consideration to starting both Saints backs this week.

Correct, and what happened? Kamara went from 5 touches in week 3 to 15 in week 4 while Ingram only had 2 more than the prior week. It wasn't game-flow related, they never trailed, they simply chose to phase AP out of the offense and give Kamara a much larger workload. Why wouldn't that continue now that AP is gone?

Pump the brakes more than a bit. As a redraft player, Kamara is like putting on an old jacket and finding $20 in the pocket. I would be thrilled with "high floor RB2 in PPR" but he could also pull a Tarik Cohen...

I'm not pumping any brakes, in fact, the pedal is to the metal with Kamara. He's in store for some special plays and will be utilized to the 9th degree. His stock is rising and rises even more after this week. I'll say 9 rushes 55 yards, 6 receptions 45 yards and at least 1 TD. One hundred total yards and a touchdown.

Saints schedule for rbs looks good ROS.  not so much for WRs.  Gets really tough actually.
