RB Bijan Robinson, ATL (4 Viewers)

We're now 269 carries into his NFL career and his longest rush is 38 yards. He has no runs over 19 yards this season.
No kidding. First time owner of Bijan in any league and the fact that his longest career rush is 38 yards is surprising. 21st in scoring for RBS isnt what I was expecting when I drafted him. Things change quickly in the NFL though. Hopefully soon.
Kamara is RB1 and he's not had a run over 40 yards in 4 years or so much as a run over 20 yards in 2 years.
Kamara is 29 and has never had a 1k+ rushing season in the NFL. He's an elite fantasy asset because of his receiving.

All the same, he had a 74 yard rushing play among his 120 rookie carries.

For a guy touted to be electric, Bijan has not shown much sizzle in the NFL.

On 342 career touches, he has one play over 40 yards (a 71 yard reception last season).

He was advertised to be a special talent, but has been more of grinder so far.
Point I'm making is Kamara rarely breaks off long runs, has not broke one off in years and only has 5 over 40 in his entire caree so this is not new because of his age. He's an awesome RB so focusing on just that aspect does not do much for me is again the point I'm making.

I never recall Bijan being touted as electric. A special mover, incredible cuts, and all around skill set. I 100% see every single bit of that.

I'm sure Bijan will remain very relevant in FF if he gets 100 targets in multiple seasons like Kamara, CMC, Bush, and Sproles.

However, if he doesn't have elite run talent then you lose that freaky Tomlinson or Faulk type of ceiling.

This was a guy picked in the top 5 of the NFL draft who some valued as the dynasty RB1 from day one.

He was supposed to be special, but the run talent has not looked special so far.

That's an arrow down weighed against what he was advertised to become, IMO.

By this stage of their careers, Peterson, Barkley, and Tomlinson were flying. The hype had translated to exceptional FF output.

I'm looking at the names in the NFL right now at RB and I think I'd slot Bijan it at roughly RB10. He's definitely not bad, but he's also not what he was supposed to be. He was supposed to be clearly better than people like Josh Jacobs and Kenneth Walker based on draft capital. Instead you can make reasonable arguments that he's being outplayed right now by people like James Conner, Brian Robinson, and JK Dobbins.

That's all I'm really saying. He was touted to be a generational type of back when he actually just seems to be an average starter. He was advertised to become Randy Moss, but he's Keyshawn Johnson. It's not a bad thing to be. It's just not a player that elevates FF rosters in the way that we hoped.

In his defense a little, he has played some pretty tough run defenses overall. His schedule is wonderful moving forward. Should be interesting what the narrative is in 5 weeks.

Will he have a breakout game, to calm all you nervous nellies worried about how much draft capital you spent on him?

Or will he throw up a meandering performance?

The choice is yours. Let’s see your predictions for tonight’s stats.

1 carry for 99 yards and a score.
99 carries for -1 yard and 98 scores (-99 yards on the non-scoring carry, 1 yard on each score).

Okay actually, optimistically, 14 carries, 81 yards and a TD, and 5 receptions for 37 yards. 22.8 PPR points.

10 carries for 34 yds and a TD... 5 catches for 54 yds (on 7 targets)

The second he has a breakout game, I’m going to trade him away sooooo fast.

Kamara never received the carry volume to support a 1000 yard season. Even when he was averaging over 5 yards a carry. He is a dual threat guy whose total yards are the measure of his greatness.

Something’s not right. Maybe TA is just a better fit for this offense.

I’m still a huge fan of the talent but I’m getting sick of being underwhelmed every single week. I have wayyy too much exposure to this dude.

Looking to trade him. Allgeier plays way too much for no discernible reason.

Good luck with that. You might want to wait until he has another one of his signature 12-14 point games.

On a night when the Falcons put up 550 total yards and 36 points, their star RB scratched out about 7 fantasy points.

Coming into week 5 Bijan trails my placekicker by 20 points on the season.

No question we all have to wait. I just feel cleaner making the decision now!

I'm not even floating him out there. He'll barely hang onto the RB15-20 window after this week. And even that is probably bolstered through injuries to others.

He's "bust of the year" material.

Sorry to pile on but Bijan had less points than Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Khaderel Hodge, Ray Ray McCloud, Kyle Pitts and Younghoe Koo.

Bijan wasn’t amazing today but suffice it to say Allgeier did not pass the eye test.

Doesn't matter. ATL clearly does not view Bijan Robinson as their starter, feature back, RB1, whatever tag you want to call him. He didn't even start the 2nd half. He didn't start the game-tying drive. He didn't start the game-winning drive in OT.

Yeah clearly the guy who had 9 touches and 12 yards rushing is the RB1 :ROFLMAO:

Again... it doesn't f****** matter... this a rinse and repeat situation. We will have this exact same conversation every week because ATL either does not think he's all that, or they don't think he can handle the load.

By the way, I greatly exaggerated his ranking. Even with the points he got tonight, Bijan is still in the RB20-25 window.

That’s not what you said though. You said Bijan is not the RB1, when the numbers clearly indicate otherwise. Has Bijan been a fantasy disappointment? Absolutely. As I said earlier, rich man’s Jerome Ford, a guy who isn’t winning anyone their matchup with how he’s played. But he’s out-touched Allgeier in every game so far and is still clearly RB1 of his team, for what that’s worth. The Falcons are just more pass-heavy than they’ve been in recent years.

Count me in as a dynasty buyer. Love to see all the hate, means I can buy him cheap. Did the same thing after Derrick Henry's crappy first two years lol.

I gotta agree.

if you are getting at least 60% of the backfield touches, you're the starter.

granted just because you are the starter does not mean you will be a good fantasy starter. (and at times Bijan has not been THAT good) but hes definitely the #1 RB in this offense (at least for now)
