RB Bucky Irving, TB (3 Viewers)

Is he a drop?
10 team league here with 6 bench spots.
*note* I picked him up from waivers for free. Original owner dropped him in week 6. Maybe he knew some insider info!?

So you’re never drafting a Bucs’ player again and you didn’t even draft him?

Sorry your preemptive waiver add didn’t work out immediately.

I had other Bucs players.
The wrong ones lol. Sounds like a you problem and not a Bucs problem? The one I drafted has been killing it.

That's a weird progression by the Bucs. The coach announced both he and Chris Godwin were in "rehab mode" in the morning, then all of a sudden they're working out on the side in practice? Odd... but the rehab could be him running on the side I guess.

New news?

What's the chance you think he gets meaningful reps Sunday? Im at less than 25%
I'm at about 45%. I could see him starting (though not seeing his usual 70+% workload) and ramping up to seeing closer to a full workload in week 12 if his shoulder reacts fine. Or they could sit him another week.

0% chance he plays this weeks. He hasn't been banged around at all at practice.

Starting today they will let him take hits on that shoulder in practice.
Hoping that all the rehab he's been doing has turned it into solid steel.

I want bucky to out there and get some live rounds one way or the other

I dont want him first hitting a game week 15 in the playoffs and one bad hit and he's out, you can't even play him in that circumstance.

Be careful here. Rondé is a radio analyst. He does not, despite what this site says, work for the TB Bucs.
I’m not saying Irving will play. But Rondé throwing out active inactive status without HC Bowles seems sus.

Unless it comes directly from the team, or HC himself, can’t rely on this. Or if Schefter/Rapp reports it.

Maybe the Bucs employ the radio crew to broadcast their games?

Either way, as radio voice, Ronde is connected to the team and he indicates emphatically that Bucky's out. That said, we only see this one snippet in that blog post. Maybe Ronde qualified this statement with additional context we aren't seeing; if not, I don't think he'd make such a bold claim without knowing it to be true.

“Bucky is not going to be back on Sunday night football,” Barber said.

Ask Tiki instead

Can anyone clarify what Greg is saying here?

Josh Grizzard said it’s “still early” to think of Irving and Godwin as close enough to be game-planning with specific plays for them in mind, knowing they’re playing.

I mean Ronde isn't even a RB. He's just a lowly CB. Tiki all the way

He's not assuming that they are going to be available when he is designing the offensive game plan for this week. It probably means they're not playing or won't be the focus of the offense if they do play.

That all makes sense, it's that last line about "knowing they're playing" that throws me off contrasted vs being "still early" to know they are close enough.

This all just made me wonder if they are playing but not a big part of the gameplan, or still not close enough to be considered viable to return.

Either way, you don't want to start any of them this week, that part sounds clear, but could impact the viablity of someone like White or Tucker IMO.

I have doubts Bucky comes back this week.
I think Tucker's re-breakout has something to do with it.

I could gain 100 vs the Bills. This is the same Tucker we saw stuffed at the goal line umpteen times just like White. Tucker will not impact a healthy Bucky - at all

Florio: "I'm not so sure Bucky Irving's going to be back this weekend based on something I heard when we were in Philadelphia. I'll tell you off air what I heard. I want to be careful. It underscores the very real existence of inside information. It's something that probably shouldn't be out, but I don't think he's gonna be back anytime soon. It definitely is more information than what's available in the injury report."

I’m just putting these here. I have no idea what’s true or not. But us Bucky owners need to come together. Today two sources headlined ominous insinuation of Bucky’s outlook toward a non-football related issue. At first I thought the headliner was a complete hoax. But now there are two:

Rondé Barber-
Barber alluded to Irving’s absence going beyond his injury in last week’s episode of his show on WFLA.
“Bucky is getting better, but I don’t know we’re going to see Bucky anytime soon,” Barber said on Nov. 12. “I’m not at liberty to say why. Bucky’s got to get right with Bucky.
“Is it the shoulder? Yes. Is it the ankle? [He’s] probably better from that now. But there’s a lot of things that have to go right for Bucky in the short term, and I don’t know if we’re going to see him.”

Mike Florio-

Byes and injuries mean I have to start some of them or play no one in some leagues.

Wasn't there something weird when he got first got injured too? Like originally it was an ankle injury that was only going to be a couple of weeks, but suddenly there was a shoulder injury too that had never been mentioned before? I also recall he was tweeting some weird stuff (although people being dramatic on social media is hardly unique these days...)

Sorry what? Tweeting what weird stuff?

Yes. Apparently he didn’t immediately report the shoulder injury to the team.

He also lost someone close to him right around the same time he got hurt. There were several cryptic religious based messages on his instagram.

Speculation now is he has also been and was dealing with mental health issues leading to the team not placing him on IR so he could be involved in team activities.
