Just heard on NFL Network via Adam Schefter. Tennessee RB version. I'll post a link if I can find one. Or someone else can when it arrives.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Titans rookie Chris Henry is facing a four-game suspension from the NFL for unspecified reasons.

Another Chris Henry to be suspended? Schefter provides few details in his report, but does say Henry will likely make an appeal. Henry will be active this Sunday, and could possibly start if LenDale White's toe injury keeps him from warming up on Sunday. LenDale is listed as probable, however. Nov. 2 - 7:19 pm et

Buzz is that it is for Adderol (sp?) or some similar medication for ADHD (Attention Defecit Hyperactive Disorder).

Some of the substances on the NFL list are a bit of a joke, yes I know that Adderol and Ritalin are members of the amphetimine family.

I CAN'T SEE THE NFL SUSPENDING HIM IF HAS A LEGIT PRESCRIPTION FROM A DOCTOR FOR WHATEVER HE IS TAKING THE PILLS FOR...

If it is Aderall as rumored... My son takes Aderall 10 mg for ADD Attention Deficit Disorder for school purposes only due to a lack of focus and concentration. One dose last 8hrs. Also some take it for ADHD. Maybe he has a lack of focus in the learning area?

My son is ADHD and takes Aderall as well. It's a Godsend. It has literally changed his life. Right now, if it was up to me and the choice was he stops taking Aderall and he plays in the NFL or no NFL but he stays on the meds... Sorry NFL. Without the meds his brain doesn't fire correctly and that presents many more important issues than playing a game. The NFL seriously needs to check itselt if this information is accurate.

unfortunately I guess this will turn out to be a few ruining it for the many situation. Adderall is in the amphetimine family, and even though it is prescribed it's on the banned list. Stupid for it to be there, but the rule is the rule.

aderall is one of the most abused prescriptions pills out there guys.

helps kids, sure...but this is the stuff that baseball players use called greenies and also peeps like nicole richie and you know what not.

its on the list he's not supposed to use it...hes gone for 4 weeks.

worked wonders for me in college...made deans list 5 straight semesters...but it makes you red when you drink on it...i was always red

I am glad the league is trying to clean up but they have to ease back a tad on things like this.

Last season with Hollis Thomas ( or was it this one ) for his asthma medicine, dallas coach and now white for a legit drug. Not sure exactly what it is but from what I read it was legal before the season started and not legal now.

yeah this is total crap. If it is on the list, then he cant take it yada yada yada, but its not like it was a narcotic or a performance enhancer.

In fact it was ok before the season began. what a crock o crap.

as a non henry owner, i dont care what happens to the guy. All i'm saying is the NFL should evaluate the situation, if its legit he shouldn't be suspended. By legit I mean prescribed by a Dr and I dont know if there an exemption clause prior to playing in the NFL letting the league know about it. Ofcourse if he's abusing pills, yes suspend him.

This is what I'm hearing. I remember someone last year (Saints?) getting suspended for a prescription asthma drug. Seems like a huge screw up by a doctor.

I am not sure how the NFL runs its testing program and what the exact rules are on what you can and can not use. My guess is that before Henry takes the test, the testers will ask him if he is on an Doctor prescribed medication. If he says yes, Im on ____, there will be no suprises when he pops for it. If Henry failed to give that info and then tested positive, that is his own fault.

Chris Henry-RB- Titans Nov. 3 - 11:30 am et

Profootballtalk.com reports that Titans RB Chris Henry's impending four-game suspension is a result of him violating the NFL's policy on steroids.

PFT has an interesting quote from a league source on the Henry matter: "He posted some of the better combine numbers ever after having a fairly mediocre college career," the source said. "People in league circles were somewhat incredulous that he could post the times he did. He became one of the annual workout warriors who elevated his draft status."

In before TitanBlitz insists Henry wasn't a bad pick and he's glad the Titans didn't give up the 2nd rounder to get Turner.

It is not for weed, coke, or another type of illegal drug like that. Can't type much now, in a hurry, but check out link here for more info.

It is a prescribed medication from a doctor.... I think he is fine everyone even if he gets 4 games.... this is not a character issue.
It coule be a character issue. If he's actually abusing the drug to enhance performance, it's a clear character issue. Also, he did have some character concerns in college and found himself in the doghouse on several occasions, so the kid is far from spotless.

That won't work though, there are lots of doctors that would prescribe lots of medication that isn't necissary.

Chris Henry-RB-Titans Nov. 3 - 10:37 pm et

Titans RB Chris Henry reportedly received official notification of his suspension Saturday.

He has five days to appeal. Henry, 22, reportedly took a prescription medication that contained a component included on the NFL's list of banned substances. The substance wasn't banned a year ago. Tennessee can probably survive without signing another back if Chris Brown can get healthy.

We had a guy get fired at work b/c he tested positive for amphetamines!! He was taking aderol unprescribed. He was not abusing it at all just taking it to help him concentrate. Maybe the NFL has similar rules for that kind of meds...

The Chargers wanted a lot more than a 2nd for Turner. They wanted a 1st + more.
But TEN balked at the trade because they wouldn't add a second rounder.... the one they used for Henry.
Interesting. So TEN reaches for a second rounder in the draft last year, and now they reach for another RB in the first round this year. And at the end of the day they still don't have one RB on their roster as good as Turner. In the past three years they've spent a 1st and two 2nd's on RB's... and I'm still not sure if they have a "good" RB among them.
