Would think Ahmed and Wilson are in the mix as well.

Ahmed was looking great before he strained his groin....but I hear he is healthy. Brooks is a banger....and a much better looking back than Wilson IMO in this scheme.

I expect Ahmed to get work before either of them if healthy. He is fast too.

I'll join the pity party...Achane, Jefferson, Richardson and Amon Ra on the same roster. Week 5 was not a pretty week, but at least it looks like Amon Ra won't be long term.

Check out the Brooks thread. UDFA Brooks had a great preseason, big 3-down back, bigger and younger than Wilson. He had some very good carries in the DEN route (like everyone), some nice blocks in the NYG win. He's also healthy, whereas Wilson's 21-day window just opened, so we don't know if he'll even be active this week. However, if Wilson is active, he should be #2 behind Mostert as he's trusted by the coach.

Yeah what he said. I know he leaped Ahmed a while ago. I just feel he is better than Wilson at this point and from reading the tea leaves and going w my gut, Brooks is the guy to get.

He's thrown some amazing blocks to free up these other backs, I'm not sure you want to start having him be the lead RB

I hear ya. I've just rostered Wilson over the years. For being a "very fast guy" his YPC is kind of all over the place, so that tells me he has poor vision, and I feel he's a JAG, a proven JAG at this point.

YPC by year:

2018 4.0 (Mostert had 7.7 same year same team, SF)
2019 3.9 (Mostert had 5.6 same year same team, SF)
2020 4.8 (Mostert had 5.0......)
2021 3.7 (mostert hurt this year all year basically)
2022 4.9 (Mostert 4.9 also)

So I get what you are saying, I just hope you feel me on this. I just don't trust Jeff Wilson to either stay healthy, or to be consistent. I might be wrong, I'm just hedging toward the younger unproven guy that seemed to have a lot of camp fanfare.

Sounds like strained MCL but they’re being coy about it. And with him on the shelf for 4 weeks, I guess there is no rush/need to divulge.

Lot of confidence for a guy that hasn't played in a few weeks.

Also think there is a non-zero chance that this Ferrari of a RB needs to operate at 100%. Anything less, and it's back in the garage.

NYJs D is no joke. And Miami doesn't play Denver's run D every week.

I think you'll see teams more prepared for this running attack during the 2nd half of the season.

In short, swapping CMC for Achane is idiotic.

The Dolphins are heading into their Week 10 bye, but the initial prognosis on Achane was he would “likely” miss only four games and be ready to go by Week 11. Fantasy managers certainly hope that’s the case, as Achane was in the midst of a nuclear fantasy output prior to going down in Week 5. The third-round rookie has rushed for 460 yards and five touchdowns on 38 carries, averaging an abnormal 12.1 yards per carry. We’ll see how things look after the bye, but we’d expect Achance to be ready to go come Week 11.

I own Achane in dynasty and I’m not sure I’d take CMC for him. My team is getting old (Henry, Saquon, Kupp, Adams are my core). I need to get younger, and I love what I’ve seen from Achane. I’m not sure taking CMC for him at this point makes sense.

He's the most explosive RB in the league on an offense that fits and schemes to his strengths to a T. That's who he is.

His ability to stay healthy, ANY RBs ABILITY TO STAY HEALTHY, is always a question.

His blazing speed and quick moves in the hole coupled with semi-light usage is likely to yield more eye-popping weeks but also some disappointments. He's the perfect RB#2 or flex if you have depth because he can singlehandedly win you a game any given week even if his performance is likely to be highly volatile.
