RB Derrick Henry, BAL (2 Viewers)

Once again I got screwed by Henry.  It's either because I started him or didn't.  Having Murray and Henry on the same team has been a curse.

Too bad he didn't get the carry at 1st and goal from the 1, could've salvaged a horrible day.
He got the carry at 4th and goal from the 1.

Debating between Henry and AP. Leaning AP unless Murray is out.
Wild :ptts: here...sorry.

4 minutes before kickoff I got an offer of Zeke for my Henry and Diggs (PPR dynasty). Had four minutes to think about it, accept, and get my lineup set again. Weird day for me, wondering if I made the right call long-term, wondering about Zeke's impending suspension, Digg's talent when healthy, Henry's (likely?) future RB1 status...then the point total today. Roller coaster.

So what did you do with the other 3 minutes and 47 seconds?

He's not as good as Bloom thinks he is lol...As long as Murray is in the game, NO MATTER how much he's "banged up", he will receive a majority of the snaps.  FACT

He's an injury hold, if you play him any other time it's a blindfolded dart throw.  I understood that when I drafted him...each of the past two seasons.

What I did not understand is that DeMarco Murray would become a friggin Iron Man.

Any non-Murray owners who are holding Henry having a hard time with keeping him on the roster? Especially with the bye week?

This whole situation plus ongoing bye week and injury issues make holding onto this luxury lottery ticket difficult.

Have to secure wins.

Nope.

Henry still represents, perhaps the highest ceiling lotto ticket RB in the NFL. I'm hard pressed to name another back up RB I would rather have.

Breida is another for me.   These two are far and away the best stashes.  (I also like Collins in a "hes the best of the lot, Woodhead can't stay healthy, and the FF playoff schedule is money" kind of way)

But the "naysayers" will always point to the confirmation bias result of a week like this, and say "he is just another handcuff".

I too drafted him this season , and last season.  This year I got him in 75% of my leagues.

If you realistically drafted Henry to be an ironclad RB1 just a few weeks into the season, perhaps you should look into the reason you drafted him in the first place.

I'm stoked to have the guy on my rosters.  It may or may not work out, just like anything else. But having that stash on the bench can turn a "so-so middle of the pack playoffs season" to a team thats a title contender in the blink of an eye or an injury.

Did these guys realistically think they were snagging a "by week 6 an insta-RB1 lock and load play"???   Some of you guys lose sight that this is a true home run play.    Sometimes it takes until later in the season for these things to work out. SOMETIMES THEY DON'T WORK OUT AT ALL.

I have never been big on DeMarco Murray and his health.  Thats why I got Henry to begin with. Unless its a "mandatory cuff" like Breida, I am saving Henry as my absolute last drop/must hold guy on my teams.

He's the Black Knight

"it's just a flesh wound."

"I'm invincible!!"

Was workload the issue here?  15 touches...

Henry simply got bottled up.  But he’s seeing the ball.
The Browns were tied for the top run D going in (giving up 3 ypc). To get to 13 yards, Henry probably had 7 good runs and 6 where he was caught behind the LOS. The Browns stacked the line, it was obvious, and I'm yelling "audible Mariota, audible" but Henry got hit a half second after he got it. Murray had same issue. It's really puzzling why they didn't audible out of that. A run first and we can win the battle at the OL attitude is fine, but after a few times getting caught in the backfield, it's just foolish. The other thing is- To- help Robiske lined his WRs caddy corner to the TE. Every other OC lines em up wide to spread the D, he brought more defenders to the middle or stack

He sure does, but it's a luxury to be able to hold him.

If you have bye week issues, injuries, and need wins now, this is tough. Especially through a bye week.

This is starting to remind me of holding David Johnson before he finally got his chance late in his breakout season.

Put it this way.  It’d be one thing if after his big game the before he got 5 touches on 12 snaps.  15 touches on 30? He’s got a sizable role on that offense, but not the lead dog.

Drafted him that year too and wasn't patient enough to wait.

Sat them both this week for the first time. Felt good. Chose to start Fuller in my flex instead.

...that did not feel good.

It's week 9 and I still have not picked him and Murray right.  Extremely underwhelming overall this year.
The Titans have either the best line or the second best line in football. It's ridiculous and there really isn't anyone left to blame but the OC.

Jones has been fine. Bookend Probowl/All pro caliber tackles. Spain's stats matchup with any top G in football since he started. Kline was their weakest link and he was PFF's top rated lineman through 4 or 5 weeks. Their FB has been top rated for two years now.

3rd leading rusher last year, Heisman winning beast for a backup.

It's completely unacceptable

He'll be fine once he gets carrying the ball 20+ times a game. His value will always be capped as long as Murray is around unfortunately

Still hoping Henry takes over because of a DeMarco injury at some point soon because that's the only way we'll get any clarity. I spent a lot of FAAB getting him in hopes of him being a second half warrior. Well, we're now officially in the second half and I need him bad...

 He reminds me a lot of marshawn Lynch except obviously younger and not as experienced. The Titans are actually a really good fit for him except for Murray still being the go to guy.
