the fact the bears made him inactive multiple weeks gave me just enough pause to not put enough FAAB on him this week by a smidge.
Through 5 weeks Roschon has played 48 ST snaps & Travis Homer (always been a 4-phase ST guy) had 73 ST snaps. D'Onta Foreman has 18 career ST snaps, the last being in 2020.
He has a defined role: pound tf out of the opposing defense. With Johnson filling that role and Herbert being the 1/1A it's just a special teams numbers game to explain the inactives. We have seen this play out again and again on different teams. The backup isn't the RB2 on the team, it's the thumper who is game day inactive - coach's decision.
Now that may or may not be the case in Chicago. I'm not going to argue CEO-HC Matt Eberflus has a logical plan or exerts any control over whatever tf scheme
Etsy Getsy thinks he is running.
All good points^^^.
I was fortunate to snag Foreman in one ppr league (where I had multiple big RB injuries) and he is looking like a possible flex. (I have Herbert in 2 leagues as my RB3, this is one) I don't much like him in this format, but I'm at a point where I need warm bodies at RB.
Truth be known, he runs hard, and always did. It really sucked when he had that Achilles injury, it looked like he was about to breakout as an absolute bruiser similar to Marshawn Lynch.
It took him a long time to get close to what he was, but I firmly believe he is good to go.
I remember seeing him in spots the last couple years and he seemed to run well/same violent style.
I might not have to use him, but I definitely wanted him in my arsenal in a couple leagues.
He might turn out to be a great fill-in while others get healthy.
