I laughed at people drafting tired looking Hunt but should have done that looking in the mirror for at least buying a little of the Pachecho is back and discounted hype. Did not draft him much but oof. I dropped a few 6th round picks on him and I'd not touch him in round 11-12 now.One game, but very troubling usage. He was never a supreme talent, but mainly a hard nosed runner. A lot of people will be looking at Hunt, but I think the shark move may be to stash Brashard Smith if this backfield is more wide open than expected.
I'm not really interested in any of them. Recall a report from a few weeks ago they were happy with Pachecho but wanted a third down back with some juice. That report seems mainly bogus. What they need is a starting RB with juice. They'd managed to make it work with this collection of mid the last few years but wonder if they will finally veer a little and try and pick someone up in a trade? Losing changes mindsets.
But if I was going to pick up anyone from this backfield you are right, relative to cost, I'd rather draft Smith.

Yeah, Pacheco looked like he doesn't have much to offer anymore. Nothing. All that energy and movement, so little of it going forward to gain positive yards. It looked slow. Maybe that was the defense? A poor line?
Kansas City really stinks on offense. And people are saying that if any team missed their two best receivers that they would. That isn't an illegitimate claim. That is until somebody looks at each of the WR1 and WR2's aDOT. Their offense doesn't go forward or beyond their own line of scrimmage. It's the ugliest design and the least effective advancement I can really remember seeing for one that can actually score every so often.
I loathe it and I'm not sure how much of its ugliness is attributable to receivers who can't run patterns, a quarterback who lacks a good enough offensive line to sit in the pocket, or the QBs own fitness and his downfield arm.
I think they've got to reconstruct the whole roster and get Patty in shape again, but he's getting older and athletes that lose it don't seem to get their former glory back. I feel like the Chiefs are done as an entity and you should get what you can for their guys, but that's clearly an overreaction to a bad opening game in a far-away foregin country where their routine is disrupted and the living conditions, while posh in comparison to a lot of the world, pale in comparison to Europe and America.
