RB J.K. Dobbins, Free Agent (2 Viewers)

MY GOD, I was wrong about this guy.

Figured he wouldn't be much of anything coming off an ACL and an achilles. Maybe the Raiders defense is just booty cheeks. But this is one heck of an opener. I'll target him on waivers in my shallow leagues, but gonna take it on the chin in my big leagues.

I think he's worth a big bid if he's on anyone's WW. This is the same classic Greg Roman offense that we've all come to know - run, run, and more run and Harbaugh might have them playing solid defense.

League winning potential if he stays healthy, which you have to gamble on imo.

Maybe more time passing from the injury helps him keep his legs on those long runs, but holy moly the burst looked as good as ever. One of those runs looked sped up.

Tears of joy, hope he can stay on the field this year. Great running back, although if the passing attack cannot improve it will be tougher sledding. Having the least dynamic pass catchers in the league will make it hard to run the ball like that all year.

So happy for him and praying he can get in a full season. I’ve owned him in a dynasty league since the startup draft and it’s been an absolute rollercoaster of despair. To keep coming back from these injuries, he deserves a huge slice of health

I'm extremely happy he had such a great start this year. Good for him. I moved on from several leagues I owned him in since his rookie year and wasn't able to grab him in my one new redraft league this year. No trading allowed either, so I can't go overpay to get him. Seriously bummed there. One upside is that he is on my Subscriber team and he helped me advance this week.

I'll need to see him do it twice. Fortunately I have the luxury of starting Jordan Mason over him.

For some reason, I feel like Carolina will keep it close. Nobody wants to be humiliated like they were and it's still early, Panthers will likely put up their best effort of of reason.

West Coast team traveling to the East Coast. It's got a few earmarks of a messy situation. I believe it's also going to be raining? Unless that's been cleared up.

See enough yet? Hope he can stay healthy…

He's the Six Million Dollar Man.

"Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology."

I want to make an offer for this guy but I have no idea how to value him in Dynasty.

Two 2nds? A late 1st? Less?

I'm perplexed.
I gave up a pair of 2nds for him 5-days ago in my 14-team Dynasty league. The trade was offered to me and I reluctantly hit the accept button at the time but I was hurting at RB.

I am very tempted to sell high.
It’s as high as it gets and it’s not so obvious that LAC are playing PITT next week…with maybe a hobbled QB vs TJ Watt lol

But the feeling of keeping him also can outweigh the logic of trading him. He’s house money right now- rack up some wins in your league and stash handcuffs maybe.

That said, I expect him to be on the move for upper tier RB’s this week…someone is gonna make a play on the Taylors and underperformers

Would you move him for Rice?

Past injuries were fluky. JK is a dominant RB when healthy. Trade away at your own risk.

Great background story and I’m excited for him to finally deliver. Would love to see him get a bigger contract next season.

Anyone sell high in REDRAFT this week?

I think his carries will stay the same throughout the year keeping him healthy and fresh.

Best offer I got this week was Moore/Ford for Dobbins/Burrow (I have Kyler don’t need Burrow)

Essentially Dobbins for DJ Moore PPR flex spot.

He is a hold for me, ride the wave. If he stays healthy he is probably a top ten back by end of season.

I’ll probably end up accepting DJ Moore, Ford and C. Watson for Burrow/Dobbins.

We only start 1RB, 1WR, 3 Flex and a TE though.

3 weeks ago I would have raced to the accept button to get Moore. After watching Caleb play a couple games, and Dobbins play a couple games, no chance I would take that offer. Not in redraft or in Dynasty, honestly. JKD looks like the real deal - like what he was supposed to have looked like all along.

This seems like a fair deal to me.

Ended up keeping Dobbins and doing Burrow/Charb for Moore/Mooney

Would you trade Dobbins for Walker?
Kenneth Walker? You rush to accept offers like that
Not so sure I am with you, but I bet most people are. You are talking about trading a healthy guy who might get injured for an injured guy. If its dynasty and you are thinking KW is younger with less mileage, I could see that. But in redraft I would prefer the guy who is currently able to play. If both are at peak health, I would say from a talent perspective its probably close.

I think people have forgotten what a great prospect he was. He is finally paying off for the people who waited on him. He is just 25, in a Gregg Roman/Jim Harbaugh run-friendly offense. This is a guy who could win leagues for you this year in dynasty (finally) and in redraft where you got him for free.

I think people have forgotten what a great prospect he was.

Nope. Wanted to trade for him in dynasty but the guy had so few backs I figured cost was prohibitive and didn't get him. So I drafted him in redraft for a song. I fully expected this, and that might make me a bad player, but I did. I've always thought this guy was going to be good. Let's see if he can shake the injuries and keep it going.

Ya. I don't think people have forgotten how good a prospect he was. I think most used the basic understanding of the human body. He had MAJOR injuries. Injuries that would have an impact on people returning to normal jobs and not being a professional athlete. I got 1 share.of Dobbins because I remember how good he was. I'll admit it felt like a dart throw at the time. Anyone trying to tell people they knew this was coming is being silly. Happy for the dude. Now. Once again. Please stay healthy buddy. Ha ha

I was told by a wise man that works for FBG to bet on medicine and science as the years go on. I did. I bet on his ACL repair and his achilles being okay. He's never gonna be the burner he was, but he's got enough burst to make it.

He might break down. That's my biggest worry. Not his talent or ability to come back from his injuries. For whatever reason it's just what I thought.

You can bet on science. You can bet that he would return to healthy status to start the year. I get that. No problem with that. Did you also bet he would lead the league in rushing after 2 games? Thats the prediction I'm saying no one saw coming. Big difference between simply being active for games and looking decent and leading the league in rushing. Just crazy that he is leading the league in rushing. Great story.

Good? No. Great! His career YPC is insane. I know it's unsustainable and he has too few carries to qualify but his career YPA is 6.2 right now. Again, this is only on 262 carries but my god, 6.2 is staggering.

Jamal Charles has the career record of 5.4.
I've been waiting for this but I'm terrified each carry will be his last. Enjoy it while we can!
