Everyone seems to want to push Brian Robinson out the door besides the Commanders.
Personnelly, Chicago makes the most sense. Technically, it is Dallas, but I dont see any chance they are entertaining the idea of signing Dobbins.

I know the Chargers tendered him so if he signs with someone else they could receive a compensatory draft pick.
The Chargers have tendered a contract to running back J.K. Dobbins, making him an unrestricted free agent. This means Dobbins can sign with any team until the start of training camp. If he remains unsigned by then, the Chargers will have exclusive negotiating rights with him. If he signs with another team, the Chargers could receive a compensatory draft pick.

I had planned on taking him at 1.10 in my dyno rookie draft, but he got sniped by the 1.09. Somehow though, Judkins fell to me as a result. As a contender I was kinda bummed (since the Browns are currently a dumpster fire) but also felt like how it went down is likely better for my team in the long run. If Dobbins does sign in Denver, then I'm going to feel a whole lot better on missing out on the chance to draft Harvey.

Oof - if he signs in Denver, there’s gonna be a whoooooooole lot of regret from the RJ Harvey drafters. That dude shot to to the 1st round of rookie drafts largely on landing spot.
Now, that said Dobbins can’t stay healthy - but as long as he is, I’m betting Harvey shareholders would prefer he weren’t a bronco.

there’s a chance based on Payton’s recent comments that Harvey is the receiving back, and a somewhat clear division of touches will be spread around.
That said, they best thing for Harvey shareholders is that this doesn’t happen.

I remember pre-NFL draft he was never discussed as a 1st round FF pick. Landing spot was like 75% of his value.
All 3 of my teams drafted, so now I’m just waiting to see if those 3 owners got hosed.
What comments would those be?
I ask because while I've heard good OTA reports on Harvey's pass catching skills I keep hearing Payton referencing his running.
This is key because going back to what warpig is saying I only trust a Sean Payton RB who catches a lot of the passes, and like I was saying back when Harvey got drafted, Ingram is the only he's coached in about 20 years that was not an 80 catch type back that I trusted.
The top 3 RB's PPG Rb's in Payton's reign are Reggie, Sproles and Kamara and only one of them averaged more then 9 carries a game with him, which was Kamara who was in the mid 12's and all 3 of them scored more fantasy points in the receiving game then as rushers. That's how a Sean Payton backfield works.

Landing spot and draft capital. If he was drafted in the 4th round he would not have shot up like he did.
If Dobbins does sign maybe he goes from being over drafted to being a value pick. Should be interesting to see how much it changes his adp.

Saw a blurb earlier in the week somewhere (can’t recall where) saying he really wanted to utilize Harvey’s pass-catching skills.
Wish I could recall where I saw it. Apologies.
Then again, I also saw a blurb from the Broncos saying that Esteem didn’t get enough work.
It’s Payton and it’s June. I’m not expecting any cards to actually be tipped on how they’ll use these RBs. I’m just sayin that if any excitement was bubbling up based on team/coach comments, the Dobbins news might throw a little cold water on it. That’s the point.

I think people that value situation over player profile let great players slip through their hands. Keon Coleman, Xavier Worthy are part of the reason Brian Thomas Jr. fell to me late in drafts last year.
Fluidity in every situation... The player is consistent. Trust pre-draft evaluations and revisit against post-draft consensus rankings. Sad, I was banking on a reach for Harvey helping me land an Ebuka or Burden.
Not saying Harvey is a bum but this hampers immediate ROI.

Feels like we could rattle off half a dozen teams that would be better landing spots. Dallas, Washington, Chicago, Buffalo (Cook and his wild $$$ request and hasn't shown up yet), Cincinatti (even if you like Brown, no depth behind him and they don't want him to be an 80% guy), Arizona (Conner is 30 and no depth behind him), Indy (Taylors missed 16 games over the past 3 seasons)....

Agreed - and it will likely be one of said teams as we progress into training camp and things shake out and/or someone gets hurt. Chubb is another one.

We love to talk about players taking the selfless path to winning and being a team player. Meh. At his age, but more importantly, with his history of health, this could be his last time to get kinda paid. He is only 26, but with knees of a 40 year old. This could be his last time to squeeze out what he can out of his body before it's off to podcasts. I've always been a Dobbins fan. Get your money son. I'd assume he signs with whoever pays the most. Denver has 16 million in cap space as of now. Makes sense. Imo

Wheels up until they fall off... more of a negative to the anticipated workload that shot RJ Harvey up some draft boards.
Contract amount and structure for Dobbins is important too.
Dobbins had flashes last season but he was mostly ineffective mid to late season, IMO.

Have been assuming for awhile now that he just isn't healthy enough to command much of anything besides JAG money and a JAG role. I don't think any GM trusts his status enough but then again why not throw JAG money around and run the player into the ground. I suspect he signs somewhere for fairly cheap and barely earns a role that may or may not last through midseason.
the tender is $3.4m, so his starting asking price is $3.5m. So, yes, he's getting more than 1.1
I think the bigger question is... can LAC withdraw the tender at any point? If so, that would be incredibly ****ty of them since they only tendered him for the compensatory pick math.

I did think it was 3.4 then I read 1.1 and didn’t research it, my bad. With that offer on the table, tough to think he’s not a charger. Harris, Hampton, Dobbins? That would be amazing!

In that case it gives another team some leverage knowing that just need to best the 1.1 mark. Dobbins needs multiple suitors to drive his market price up.
