To be fair (to be faaaaaair) Ty Johnson is a slightly better receiver than Cook.
I’d like to see a lot more dump offs - Allen gets laser focused on Shakir and would seemingly rather force it into tight coverage than take the bunny to Cook. I’ve seen him do this again and again and it’s maddening. Like bro, 4 yards is better than an incompletion.
James Cook was essentially the only thing working for them on offense in that game. Going forward he needs to be more of a centerpiece, along with Josh Allen. If they had utilized Cook and the play action more instead of Allen just dropping back to where the HOU D-line was converging, and if they'd been able to drop the ball off to Cook in space more often, they might've had a chance against that swarming defense.
