Ouch!
I had zero expectations he'd play this year but sometimes teams delay putting these players on IR until after final dynasty cuts are due and I'm actually glad to see it done now so I can free up the roster spot. It's part of why I liked him and traded a mid third rounder for him. I don't know if he'll ever rebound, but I don't know if any third round player I take will pan out either, but at least I know Brooks won't be taking up a roster spot next year.

As a long time Chuba truther I can’t say I’m sad about this news.
That said, I do feel for the kid and hope he makes a full recovery.

Trending toward 1 of the all time worst mid 1st round picks ever in dynasty rookie drafts.
In 1 of my leagues someone took him at 1.03 and I had the 1.04 and grabbed Bowers. That worked out well.
In another league I had the 1.05 was going to draft Thomas or Worthy by my teammate didn't like either WR and wanted Keon Coleman who I had no interest in especially at pick 5 so we traded down to 7 and we took Brooks instead since we couldn't agree on which WR to pick. That did not work out.

Unlucky for the kid. He was drafted knowing he wouldn't play much last season. This is an unfortunate setback.
My team was short of RBs. Took him at 1.08 and got Bo Nix at 1.10.
Traded a 3rd and 4th for Chuba since Brooks was coming off injury.
