Ought to be able to win the matchup with the .2 guy.I guess that's better than 7.2 good defenders in the box.Led the NFL with 7.2 average defenders in the box last season.

Bwahahahhahaha. Ziiiiing!!!I guess that's better than 7.2 good defenders in the box.Led the NFL with 7.2 average defenders in the box last season.
Yep. We can always find stats to drive a narrative. The Jacobs downers post heavy workload numbers with average production. My retort would be posting the Raiders starting QBs. Always bad. Always stacked boxes. Opposing defenses day one game plan was usually stop Jacobs. On the Packers offense, u just can't solely focus on Jacobs. Should be interesting. I see a top 10 year for sure, barring injury of course.I took Jacobs as my RB2 in the third round this year and was thrilled to get him. GB is a fantastic situation and teams won't be able to stack the box against him.
Every case is different but David Montgomery also went to a better situation last year and showed improvement, even with Gibbs in the same backfield. His current ADP is the steal of the draft. We saw what this guy can do when the raiders had a decent QB and Adams. This situation in GB is much better and I can see him as top 10 (ppr) and top 5 (non-ppr).
Where would you rank him among other RBs in PPR?His current ADP is the steal of the draft. We saw what this guy can do when the raiders had a decent QB and Adams. This situation in GB is much better and I can see him as top 10 (ppr) and top 5 (non-ppr).

Yeah I'm pretty hellbent on drafting one of CMC/B. Hall/Bijan with my #3 pick and then going WR in round 2. From there, I'm lumping in Jacobs with the likes of Achane, J. Cook, Mixon, etc. for my RB2 and bypassing my WR2.Where would you rank him among other RBs in PPR?His current ADP is the steal of the draft. Let me rephrase my thoughts. Normally, there is a slew of RB1's and big dropoff to RB2's. This year, there are only 3 clear-cut RB'1 and a slew of RB 2's. With injury very often at the position, most of them have a legitimate chance for RB1 or at least top 5. In PPR, I am perfectly fine with having a top WR and ending up with Tayler, Barkley, Cook, Jacobs, Etienne, etc. as your RB1
true. I think yards per carry will go up. though workload likely stays the same. Green bay throws more than Vegas ever did. but to make up for that he will be running the ball in garbage time a lot more too. so that may make up for it.I took Jacobs as my RB2 in the third round this year and was thrilled to get him. GB is a fantastic situation and teams won't be able to stack the box against him.
Exactly. Still can't believe he is only 26. His coaches history of rb usage is my only concern. Having said that, for 17 games, I can't see a scenario where 300 touches isn't the outcome on a team built to win now.I think the concerns about his usage in the passing game are fair, and I think the coach's history of using two backs is kind of tough to avoid. AJ Dillon got a lot of work the last few seasons, and AJ Dillon is not Aaron Jones.
Really good back, and when he had average line play he was an efficient monster, and his line really let him down last year, and people said he regressed.
I have volume concerns, and I have passing game concerns. I don't have talent concerns.

Give me Jacobs in all formats and I really like Walker. ImoExactly. Still can't believe he is only 26. His coaches history of rb usage is my only concern. Here's a question: Who would you rather have? J. Jacobs? Or K. Walker?
These two RBs seem to be the last ones before you hit the dreaded dead zone.

That's how I got Jacobs, the dude ahead of me took Walker. I would have been ok with him as a consolation prize, but I was much happier to get Jacobs.Give me Jacobs in all formats and I really like Walker. ImoExactly. Still can't believe he is only 26. Close to where I got him at 3.07. That was a one player keeper though.Took him at 3.08 as my RB1...I'm on board.
I’m probably looking at both available at pick 30, lean toward Walker right nowExactly. Still can't believe he is only 26. His coaches history of rb usage is my only concern. I'd have to take him at 3.03. Seems a bit of a reach.Close to where I got him at 3.07. That was a one player keeper though.Took him at 3.08 as my RB1...I'm on board.
I dunno, that's about where he's going, number 30-35.I'd have to take him at 3.03. Seems a bit of a reach.Close to where I got him at 3.07. That was a one player keeper though.Took him at 3.08 as my RB1...I'm on board.
Gotta think he starts moving into the third round closer to Mixon territory.Jacobs was always going to be a workhorse imo. Last year he was bad but I am thinking that is an outliner and he will bounce back to near elite play.
Wait what? Jacobs has been going a round ahead of Mixon in every draft I've done.Gotta think he starts moving into the third round closer to Mixon territory.Jacobs was always going to be a workhorse imo. You're probably right. Was #39 in ESPN today.Wait what? I was thinking Jacobs starts moving into the top-25.
Jacobs is actually underrated as a pass catcher. I think he had 2 years where he caught 50+ passes. Not for huge yards, but still, in PPR thats a solid bump for a grinder like him.You have to bump him up in a BIG way, far as I am concerned.
There simply isn't anyone they can just bring in and give 15 touches to. He's going to lead the NFL in touches for at least the first month.
RB1 upside, even if he's not a pass catching monster. Guy is the ONLY available back for the most exciting young offense in the league.
Kinda shocked Foreman cut. I'd assume they would like to practice squad hm? Gotta think he would scoff at that. Packers and cowboys make sense for him.Be curious to see if they sign a FA.
D'Onta Foreman was cut, as was Samaje Perine, and Michael Carter. Kareem Hunt is out there. Miles Sanders is probably available for pennies. Same with Jeff Wilson.
I agree, I just happen to think his receiving numbers won't hit the upside because they will be working him on the ground, and Love has 6 young WR/TE that are all interesting, so I don't think they will need to.Jacobs is actually underrated as a pass catcher. and the guy has historically been quite durable. so I consider him to be lower risk than a lot in terms of potential for injury.I agree, I just happen to think his receiving numbers won't hit the upside because they will be working him on the ground, and Love has 6 young WR/TE that are all interesting, so I don't think they will need to.Jacobs is actually underrated as a pass catcher. Agreed, he can catch the ball.
As a Raiders fan, the dude is a plus athlete, and never makes a mistake. Never the wrong hole. He doesn't have the Achane flashy games, and Raiders have been bad, but people are going to see how good he is.
Emmitt Smith-like
2022 is the only season Jacobs played every game.and the guy has historically been quite durable. so I consider him to be lower risk than a lot in terms of potential for injury.I agree, I just happen to think his receiving numbers won't hit the upside because they will be working him on the ground, and Love has 6 young WR/TE that are all interesting, so I don't think they will need to.Jacobs is actually underrated as a pass catcher. hes a true, old school workhorse back.
Damn. Who the hell is the #2 RB now?
He might not be that good, but he knows the offense and the coaches trust him. He was gonna get carries throughout the game. This wouldn't have been as big of an issue if loyd was healthy.Really don't think the Dillon news makes much of a difference, he wasn't that good, they'll sign a FA to take his place.
IIRC, he was renowned as a pass catcher coming out of college. Just was not often used that way in the Raiders' system.Jacobs is actually underrated as a pass catcher. Good point about the timing of week1. They might add someone and they probably do want to split at RB, but the options are slim and Friday is soon. He should smash in week1.Damn. Who the hell is the #2 RB now?
Marshawn Lloyd if he's healthy, otherwise Emmanuel Wilson. Wilson had a great preseason but likely would've been cut if AJ Dillon hadn't been IR'd for the season. They play a week from Friday in Brazil, so may have to make some decisions soon.
