RB Kenneth Walker III - SEA (1 Viewer)

They didn't elevate any other RBs so he's likely OK.
Seattle had already filled their roster with their practice squad players so i wouldn't read anything into this comment. Anyone hear how he is doing and whether or not this is really something serious. I really only have Bigsby in one league to replace him with and doubt there will be an update that early in the morning.

Yea hopefully he goes but always something this year.

Eta: looks like the rumor is it's a birthday hangover from Friday night. He better be good to go tomorrow.
Questionable from a hangover??? C'mon
Its possible he didn't attend whatever walkthrough they have on Saturday, and I think by rule, a guy has to be listed as questionable if that happens.

Its possible he's maybe not 100% recovered by Sunday, but this feels like much ado about nothing. They play at noon this week, so that's at least a positive if the unlikely happens.

What do you mean? They announced they were elevating two cornerbacks at the same time they announced K9 questionable. If there was real concern wouldn't they have elevated a RB, too?

Link please?
Unconfirmed rumors. His birthday is tomorrow and that's the claim. Either way seems sudden. If it was flu, they might just rule him out. Stomach virus or just throwing up more likely.

Thought this guy wasn't good in the passing game?

Last three games:
7 for 57 yards
8 for 37 yards
2 for 24 yards and a beautiful TD catch

One of the things that surprises me as an NFL observer with a strong FF lean is how few coaches actually prioritize getting touches for the RB in the passing game. Of course the Tomlinsons, Faulks, and CMCs of the world always get their dues, but many times your RB is going to be the best player on your roster at generating YAC, yet coaches don't always utilize it. If I had an elusive RB who is great in space, I'd be trying to get him 4-5 catches per week.

It feels like a market inefficiency to not prioritize targets for your super talented elusive RB, but guess it's harder in practice than in theory because only a select few sustain that type of usage over the long haul. Nice to see Walker being given that type of treatment as of late.

Up against the Bills this week, who have allowed 4+ catches to a RB in all but 2 games (Conner, Pollard) this season. I'd bet on another 5-6 catch game from Walker this week, especially in a potential chase script.

13.7 PPR points on 28 touches, that has to be a record. The definition of inefficiency is KWII
Geno throwing 2 INT's inside the 5 certainly didn't help. Walker is a bit boom/bust, but he's still an every week starter, and should be better when DK is back to spread defenses out.

This guy is absolutely useless.
One of the leading contenders of Bust of the year.
Always ranked high but…..
Has one 100 yards rushing game this year. The first game.
I can’t take the 14 carries for 50 yards a game and 0 Td’s a game.
He’s even losing goaline carries to Charbonnet!

Very frustrating because the talent is clear. Season started promising too. It's become very hard to trust him at this point.

This guy has been killing me all year.
I have or had MacCaffrey.
So now I need him to get into the playoffs, however he was just listed as questionable.
Argghhhhh…..

My backs:
MacCaffrey
Walker
Dowdle
Etienne
Bigsby
Brooks

Quite a few busts in there……

I almost wish Walker or Charb woukd be ruled out for a game to get some better production from one or the other. Right now it's just listless.

Exactly, I own both and with them splitting carries right now makes both unplayable.
I haven’t watched a Seattle game lately, but hasn’t Charb been getting random RZ carries as well? Not great. Honestly wish he’d just get ruled out if he’s going to be splitting with Charbs like this so I could just start someone else. I can get 13 points from a lot of other players that have higher ceilings.

No choice this week. Need to play one of them. I'm going with Walker but I'm not excited about it.
Got a byeweek for the playoffs so I can sit back and assess this week. Hopefully Walker can turn it around.

So for those who haven't been watching Seattle. Walker is the clear cut #1 and Charbonnet is the clear cut #2. Its about a 70-30 split, which is pretty good news for Walker. Walker has been extremely unlucky as a high percentage of his big plays and multiple TDs have been called back via penalties. The OL also seems to be awful at blocking in short yardage, and Seattle does that thing that I find to be stupid, where they go with jumbo sets at the GL, instead of keeping DK/JSN/Lockett out there and spreading defenses out. Ironically that is when Charbonnet has scored, is on 3rd down when they the defense is expecting pass. Its probably just random variance, as Charbonnet isn't the GL RB, isn't the 3rd down RB (though he probably sees the most snaps in 3rd and longs) and isn't the 2-minute drill RB.

Basically, while I can't guarantee Walker's going to get back to where he was 2 months ago. It has basically nothing to do with Charbonnet, he's no more of a threat than Allgeier is to Bijan. Its just the offense hasn't been good, and when it is, they gotten flagged (DK has also lost several big plays to penalties) but yeah, its less of a split than most backfields, its Walker's job. Charbonnet just happened to get TD here and there.

Walker has seen 16+ touches in all but 2 games this season. Charbonnet has topped 8 touches in 1 game that Walker has been healthy for.

No you can't. "Safer floor", maybe. But few players in the entire league have the ceiling Walker does.

As travdogg said, the opportunities are there. The O line (just like last year) sucks and the play calling has been questionable at best.

The Seattle play calling / personnel grouping throughout the entire game not just the red zone is what has me baffled. Every time Walker seems to get rolling with some decent gains, they take him out for Charbs or after a few good runs in one drive, they won't go back to him at all the next.

Charbonnet was seen returning punts this week in practice because of Shenault's issue of late holding on to the rock, maybe that will help Walker in his role of being on the field more.

Well, he doesn’t have much of a ceiling at all right now, unfortunately. I realize this is largely out of his hands, but he hasn’t eclipsed 20 fantasy points since Week 7. We can make all the excuses we want as to why that is, but the facts are the facts. I love KW9, but he’s been a liability lately in magic football.

Maybe my definition of ceiling is different than yours.
To me, ceiling is a guys upper limit. Walker has the potential to have 100 yards and 3 TD's.

His floor has been lower than expected. That I agree with.

I’ve been saying since last year that despite Walkers talent level surpassing Charbs that he’s a better fantasy option when Walker is out then Walker is with Carbs healthy.

It’s a tough situation. The OL is not very good,Walker has some involvement in the passing game but Charbs is the clear cut top option in the 2 minute/obvious passing down role and as some have pointed out was taking valuable goal line work last week.

Walker is pretty much a big play dependent RB3 right now.

Righttt…but what I’m saying is, that ceiling has been non-existent for seven weeks now. There’s been no spike weeks. No 3 td games. So yes, he’s been a liability. So you’ve been jamming him into your lineup and he’s been constantly laying eggs. He’s averaged 11 PPR points, with his highest output being 13.90 points.

I’m not liking the vibes for this week. I’m benching for Adams whether he plays or not.

Again, I love the player. But the constant nagging injuries are another big knock on him.

Yep. DNP and trending towards not playing. Hopefully they declare it well before game time. If there's no word, I think I might start Charbonet over him just in case they're playing mind games.

So in my bid to make the playoffs this week.
I lost MacCaffrey.
I now have lost Walker.
Hmmmm…..
I can start 3.

I have Dowdle.
I have Etienne/Bigsby
I have Jonathan Brooks
I have Gus Edwards.

Hmmmm…
Dowdle (Had a good game last week, finally)
Etienne (candidate for Bust of the year)
Bigsby (clear backup role again)
Brooks (backup, not enough touches)
Gus??? (Starter!) Gus!?
#£^#%
I’m screwed.

Actually picked up Sincere and squeaked into the Playoffs mainly because my opponent had a bad week.
