RB Kenyan Drake, Retired (1 Viewer)

We are so ####ed as owners of this guy. Drake with the game winning carry at the GL in OT just loses the ball for no reason

If he fumbles again here his career is over.

I almost think Gore must’ve been injured on that last poss.

I posted this in the game thread. It was not like he careless handled the ball. He got stood up....and drove forward to try and make a winning play and the defense made a great strip.

Not worried he will lose opportunities anymore moving forward. Gore is also looking good....but his age showed in the end of the game. He was gassed and little banged up.

I like Drake but it was a really weak fumble.  His eyes got big because he saw he was going to be able to casually fall into the endzone and he got loose with it.  That strip attempt that forced it out was weak.

They came right back to him after the fumble but not sure if that had to do with Gore or showing confidence in Drake

Gore is pretty much the starter and Drake the breather back/passing specialist going by usage.

Rushing

F. Gore 15/101

K. Drake 13/57

Receptions

K. Drake 4/21

F. Gore 1/18

Not invested in either one, but I would expect the younger guy to win out in this situation down the stretch.

Adam Gase is a fool.  To not give this guy full time snaps is a legit crime.  Gore is a washed up has-been.  Miami isn't winning a superbowl anytime soon, so why the H-E-double-hockey-sticks isn't Drake getting 15+ rushes per game.  The guy needs to touch the ball no less than 20 times per game.  He's your best player.  Like WTF.  Even in a game they are losing 29-7, he has only 3 touches?  Like it makes zero sense.  Because he has fumbled twice this year.  So freaking what.  Give him some damn confidence, and give him the damn ball.
It makes absolutely no sense. Why are you even bothering to pay the guy? Man, he looked SO fast on that TD run. Get the guy in space, find a way to get him the ball. This is the difference between winning and losing organizations - making the most out of what you have. I can almost guarantee you he would be a top 10 back if he were swapped with Kamara and had someone like Payton calling the plays.

I kinda want to just for ####s. I’m pretty much in the playoffs already. Would have to start him over Landry. If we didn’t get payouts for weekly score winners I def would.
I've been struggling at RB2 all season and took fliers on a bunch of guys: Jalen Richard, Ronald Jones, Raheem Mostert. Still think I'm going with Drake, though. I'll probably regret it, but his ceiling is fairly high.

Impressive... locked up a play-off spot in week #7 and thinking about throwing games just to be able laugh at yourself.

That's one hell of of crap league you're in.

slow your roll there bra.

"in the playoffs" isn't a guaranteed #1 seed, etc.  My squad is also "in" mid season, in a 14 team $500 buy in redraft.  Sometimes the fantasy gods are kind.

Even if you're 7-0 you can still lose the rest of the way and miss playoffs. I'd feel comfortable having 9 win....7 is still scary.

BTW starting Drake as my flex. Hope it works out.

Don't mean to derail the thread, but, if you're undefeated now (i'm not) and proceed to drop 6 straight, well, that's either horrific injuries or simply bad team management.   Most years in my 20ish year league, someone sneaks into the post season @ 7-6

And GL to those rolling w drake tonight.

Crap league? I’m undefeated, safe to say that’s pretty much a clinch in any league. Keep your asinine comments to yourself next time.

Its not like I’m putting Alf in for OBJ. Drake could absolutely outscore Landry. Just throwing out some levity.

Hard to throw a game when a guy has 2 TDs huh? Too bad I went with Landry.

And that is why Drake isn't getting full time work.

ETA Tyrann Mathieu's blitz sack in the 4th.

He had no problem last season. Over reaction to a missed block. All RB's blow blitz pick ups from time to time man. All of them. In the meantime 95 total yards thus far and 2 TD’s.

Started the year with him in 2 leagues and very excited. Sold him in both recently and kinda bummed. Sucks to see that you were right about a player but just couldn’t hold on while they didn’t get the ample opportunities. Still probably gonna be an up and down year with Gase at HC but atleast everyone can now agree Drake is talented and can be a lead back, he just needs a coach that will use him

He had a great fantasy night but he improvises too much as a runner and he misses blitz pickups. That was a bad one and obvious from the snap. You watch more dolphins than me, has Gore missed one that badly this season? (Last season clearly means nothing to Gase so best not talk about it).

I'm not invested, but this isn't Gase.  It's either Tanny (season wise) or his injury maybe w the changes.   Brock looked ok, but this could have been much worse.

that 20pt performance was with a lets say average backup qb - on the road.   impressive.
