The Miami Herald reports Kenyan Drake is "available for a draft pick."
Per reporter Barry Jackson, extension talks "went nowhere." It's not exactly a surprise Drake would have zero interest in re-upping in Miami. He is a strong bet to be dealt before the Oct. 29 trade deadline, though he is unlikely to fetch more than a day-three pick. Perhaps the Dolphins could snag a fourth-rounder.

I am going to have disagree after watching him for years now. He is not a chain mover. And he looks to always hit home runs which hinders his game. It is a between the ears thing. Nothing to do with his physical makeup.I am not certain we know this. He has a reputation for trying too hard to hit home runs resulting in above average % of plays for a loss but he has the size, can catch and has performed very well on around 200 touches playing for poor teams, that abandoned the run.
He won't be a lead back anywhere this season, barring major injury, but I think the jury is out on his ability to carry a lead back role.
Tampa makes no sense either. They've got 3 RBs and hardly use any of them.I have no idea where those of you saying Detroit are coming from. To me, the only place that make sense is Tampa. There just isn't a need anywhere.
PFT Report: Lions, Titans among teams showing interest in Kenyan Drakehttps://twitter.com/profootballtalk/status/1187954950644682752?s=21
sending him to the Lions makes too much sense. He’s probably worth a 5th and he walks in the off-season, so the Dolphins would be stupid not to get something
I did the exact same. Took him on Wednesday, to see if anything happened, dropped him for AJ Brown about an hour before this report appeared. Of courseI just dropped Drake miliseconds before this report. Of course.
Still not sure Drake is worth holding. If he lands with DET that looks to be a muddled backfield of Ty Johnson, McKissic, and Drake.
Don't get TN's interest with Henry and D. Lewis.
May pick up P. Williams of Miami just in case he gets traded to a team with greater opportunity. Could then drop P. Williams and pick up Drake Monday.
Lewis looks washed up. I think they are looking for someone to play that role better than him.Don't get TN's interest with Henry and D. Lewis.
Just a guess, but probably has nothing to do with performance. More likely that Miami does not want him to get hurt before they can trade him. MIami has been gobbling up draft picks all year and churning the roster.Dont get why anyone would trade anything for him. He cant beat out Mark Walton, mystifying.
The Miami Herald reports the Lions and Titans have shown interest in trading for Kenyan Drake.
The Dolphins want a fourth-round pick for Drake, but no teams have come close to that. Playing in a contract year and averaging 3.7 YPC, Miami is likely going to have to lower its asking price if they want to move Drake. Drake doesn't look interested in re-signing with the Dolphins after his agent didn't respond to offers last month. He's a prime candidate to be traded ahead of Tuesday's deadline.

Plus it feels like no coach wants to give him the ball too often. I don't watch Dolphins football often so I could be wrong. It's getting awfully late in the year. He'll be starting from the bottom wherever he goes.
he'd be of value to Tennessee not just in case of injury. Derrick Henry offers next to nothing in receiving with barely a catch per game. Dion Lewis is garbage in their offense. Drake probably can be pretty good because he can take some of the load off Henry as they try to re-tool the offense for a playoff push. No one knows what he's capable of this year because the Phins are so awful.G-King said:Interest is minor because he’s just not very good. I see the Titans deal if they are looking for a backup to Henry in case of injury, in a run heavy offense. He’s not going to bring a high draft pick because he’s not going to be a full blown starter anywhere in my opinion.
Detroit seems like the only place he could have an impact in 2019.rockaction said:It's getting awfully late in the year. He'll be starting from the bottom wherever he goes.
Yes, because teams are throwing themselves to get him on their team. He couldn't win the starting job on the freakin dolphins.Detroit seems like the only place he could have an impact in 2019.
If he lands there and Ty Johnson ##### the bed this weekend, I think we see a LOT of Drake going forward.
It likely has less to do with that and more to do with Miami keeping him healthy and tradable.irish eyes said:Dont get why anyone would trade anything for him. He cant beat out Mark Walton, mystifying.
NFL Network'a Ian Rapoport reports the Dolphins are seeking compensation similar to what they acquired for Jay Ajayi in trade talks for Kenyan Drake.
The Fins received a fourth-round pick for Ajayi and that would probably be enough to move Drake, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal. Per Rapsheet, Drake, who has yet to score a touchdown this season while losing ground to newcomer Mark Walton, would be "more than open" to a change of scenery. The Lions, who just lost Kerryon Johnson (knee) to injured reserve, could be willing to meet Miami's fourth-round asking price.

Definitely something to watch. If he's a healthy scratch, or dressed but not playing... would indicate that perhaps a deal is in place (maybe).Do you think they will feed him the rock today in hopes of heightening his trade value?
I'm wondering the same thing. Due to the DJ injury, I'm trying to decide between Burkhead and one of the Miami RBs (Drake/Ballage - which will it be?).Do you think they will feed him the rock today in hopes of heightening his trade value?
He’s only under contract for this year. So if the team trading for him can’t come to terms with him on a new contract they are spending a 4th round pick for 8-10 games. I’m guessing that’s why nobody wants to spend a 4th.... potential half year rental.I am missing something here? Dolphins are (reportedly) seeking a 4th RD pick for Drake, and can't move him?
Doesn't seem like a crazy high price to pay, especially for a team like the Lions that just lost a starting RB for the season.
They knew they were dealing him. Your reading into that way too much.Omg, for all the threads drake has been mentioned in about being traded, you would think he was a 2000 yard back. HE COULDN'T BEAT OUT MARK WALTON!
Having a hard time figuring out if you're actually serious or trying to drop his value for anyone in your league who happens to read this.Omg, for all the threads drake has been mentioned in about being traded, you would think he was a 2000 yard back. HE COULDN'T BEAT OUT MARK WALTON!
No, I just don't understand the infatuation.Having a hard time figuring out if you're actually serious or trying to drop his value for anyone in your league who happens to read this.
Drake is a great receiver. The team that trades for him is probably planning on using him heavily as a receiver. A part-time running back can have nice fantasy value if he gets receptions. The players talked about the most on this board are the marginal players. What would be the point of talking about a 2,000 yard back? You can't pick up CMC or trade for him.Omg, for all the threads drake has been mentioned in about being traded, you would think he was a 2000 yard back. HE COULDN'T BEAT OUT MARK WALTON!
This is weird. What possible reason could they have for keeping it a secret? Maybe the team they traded him to is going to try to flip him with another team? Or could it be the Steelers and they don't want tonight's game to have the added drama?Do we still not know what team traded for him??

Trade: Arizona has reached agreement in principle to trade a conditional 2020 draft pick to Miami for RB Kenyan Drake, league sources tell ESPN.
again I'm hearing IR is a potential for DJWonder what the split will be if all are healthy or if this is damning news for either Edmunds or (possibly more likely) Johnson.
Traded to AZ per SleeperI haven't seen any reports of him being traded yet. Just the speculation they are trying to trade him.
