Is there any news on Kevin Jones at all? Do you guys think he has anything left? He had a couple of pretty solid years is there a chance he comes back to form? Lets talk about him

Uh, first he's not with the Lions. They cut him. And to answer your other questions, maybe, but not likely to see anything till at least 2009

Man... when Suggs/Jones came out together - did anyone expect them both be busts? I know I never expected their medical issues to be such a problem, even with Suggs neck problem. And Jones seemed a relatively healthy kid.

Here is some recent discussion about him.

And here is some more discussion from last week regarding his open workout in late June.

RE: Suggs and Jones. I think you can definitely call Suggs a bust, but not so sure with Kevin Jones. I guess it depends on your definition of bust, but Jones did have some productive times and wasn't a complete waste. Definitely didn't live up to his ceiling by any stretch. My gut says someone will pick KJ up late in the pre-season and he could end up having an impact, so I'm not fully ready to put a fork in him yet.

But to your overall point, Switz, I think most people definitely expected better than what these guys have done.

Former Lions RB Jones visits Titans

By JIM WYATT • Staff Writer • May 22, 2008

In addition to former Houston Texans running back Ron Dayne, the Titans were scheduled to play host to former Detroit Lions running back Kevin Jones on Thursday.

Jones rushed for 3,067 yards and 24 touchdowns the past four seasons, but was slowed last season while coming back from knee surgery.

Former Denver Broncos lineman Isaac Snell also visited Baptist Sports Park.

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said he didn’t expect any of the visiting free agents to immediately be signed.

“We have a ready list for all different positions, we bring players in for a physical just to get to meet them,’’ Fisher said.

“We are getting to know them. Kevin Jones was a very good player and had a knee injury. We are just keeping our files updated.’’
