Just glad I didn't get scared off!Grown man. Hope the foot didn't scare people off. Going to have a big year.

Against the Texans, Leonard Fournette saw 57.7% of his carries vs. 8+ defenders in the box, the most of any RB in Week 1, per #NextGenStats
After 3 years at LSU this is just another day at the office for Fournette.Marc Sessler @MarcSesslerNFL

Not sure about that. I honestly think his best games are ahead of him. He is going to rip off a long run soon.I like Fournette as a player, but he is leading the league in 8 man fronts against him. Opponents simply don’t respect the Jags passing game. Is he a sell high candidate?
Agree. That said, he's probably not going to destroy the Ravens D. He should have lots of opportunity this week, and if Brandon Williams is out he might have space to run. I have to decide between him and Martavis Bryant and it's going to be tough.Weebs210 said:Not sure about that. I honestly think his best games are ahead of him. Didn't he have another catch for a td in the fourth quarter as well, but it was called back on a penalty against the Jaguars? Anyway, I think Fournette would have even more success with better play calling.Remember when he was supposed to be a complete zero in the passing game?
12 catches, 125 yards, 1 TD through 4 games.
Besides the stats, he just looks good catching it out of the backfield. Not Dalvin Cook good, but certainly competent.
If they could somehow improve the passing game threat that would help a ton since all he sees are 8 man fronts. But if he's averaging 5 ypc like he was against the Jets, why have Ivory in?Didn't he have another catch for a td in the fourth quarter as well, but it was called back on a penalty against the Jaguars? I think it makes sense to watch Fournette's workload, especially considering that Ivory has looked good.If they could somehow improve the passing game threat that would help a ton since all he sees are 8 man fronts. But if he's averaging 5 ypc like he was against the Jets, why have Ivory in?

Kudos. That is amazing that you predicted a rookie RB's best games were ahead of him after 3 weeks into his career. And he had a long run today like you predicted!
Playing Fournette this week? Sorry to hear buddy.Kudos. That is amazing that you predicted a rookie RB's best games were ahead of him after 3 weeks into his career. And he had a long run today like you predicted!
Please give us the powerball numbers next!

Yes. In my lineup. Just having fun with you buddy. Just enjoying his big dayPlaying Fournette this week? Sorry to hear buddy.
Sall good man. To be fair my comment was in response to selling him high.Yes. In my lineup. Just having fun with you buddy. Just enjoying his big day
Not too concerned. I also doubt the pace holds up.I know he’s been awesome so far. But Fournette is on pace for 350 carries. Anyone else concerned about that? He was injured a lot in college. Is Jax overusing him?
He was not injured a lot in college, one year with nagging high ankle sprain and that's it. Jax may be overusing him however.I know he’s been awesome so far. But Fournette is on pace for 350 carries. Anyone else concerned about that? He was injured a lot in college. Is Jax overusing him?
Okay well that one year stands out in my mind thenHe was not injured a lot in college, one year with nagging high ankle sprain and that's it. Jax may be overusing him however.
Probably a Honda, but![]()
How often does a player in general play the following week in which they didn't even turn in a limited practice? I'm going to assume the answer is something like 1% of the time. How often does a rookie RB not practice at all during the week and then play on game day?
Whether this has any bearing or not I dunno, but I just read that in week 2 Ramsey sat all week with an ankle injury and played on Sunday. How often does a player in general play the following week in which they didn't even turn in a limited practice? Different. That was a chronic HAS that affected him all year. He missed 4 regular season games & decided on his own to skip the Citrus Bowl to be ready for the combine. He said yesterday he was doing straight ahead running on the side & would try doing cuts today on the side (e.g., DNP doesn’t mean he’s sitting in the whirlpool & hoping.) He thinks he’ll play but it’s a HC decision.do we know if it's the same ankle as college?

When he had an unrelated foot problem this summer they erred on the side of caution. The staff is well aware he tried playing through injury last year & never let it heal.
The Jags said the game plan will be the same regardless of who is the tailback.
thanks, I'd love to have a reason to play Ivory over Buck Allen... sounds like I'll be making a decision at 12:45P.
He's no rookie. How often does a rookie RB not practice at all during the week and then play on game day?
But...I thought he could have gone right back in that game last week? That’s what he and Doug moron said. Bottom line: can’t EVER trust what Marrone says about injuries.
You can't trust any coach or player ever. All you can trust is the fact that if they don't practice on Friday you don't play them under any circumstance.But...I thought he could have gone right back in that game last week? Yes...I’m sure many will now plug him in (including me) as a flex or RB2 option.Let’s just hope ivory has a good game.
I'm picking between the same two and going with Ivory. Gore has the higher floor IMO, but Jacksonville's offense revolves around the RB position. Indy's offense is just terrible all around.Have had Ivory on my bench all year (not the Fournette owner)...was surprised by his explosion in the passing game last week. Thought I was going to be stuck starting the low-upside (but good matchup) Gore, but Ivory might give me an intriguing alternative.
When I saw the injury it screamed multiple week absence to meBut...I thought he could have gone right back in that game last week? That’s what he and Doug moron said. Bottom line: can’t EVER trust what Marrone says about injuries.
