i would agree.... but where in the top 7 is he finishing? because fantasy points wise RB7 is <<<< than RB1-3 usually at the end of the yearThey throwing him the ball yo. He's a lock for top 7 RB finish barring injury.

That’s ok Bell. I won the dynasty where you’re on my team anyway - and I didn’t even have Conner.
same here, with conner, who would not have been relevent had bell played. That’s ok Bell. I won the dynasty where you’re on my team anyway - and I didn’t even have Conner.
Agreed... Beside, from what I understand, Gase has never had a RB with superb caliber like Bell especially in receiving aspect. He may not get 300+ rushing attempts this year but at least he'll get at least 80 targets. So I believe he'll get at least 300+ touches. Gase knows how valuable he is to Darnold especially in screen and short passes. From the numbers above, it seems Gase gets what he can given the players he is dealt. It won't matter how slow the pace is for the Jets. My real concern is how Bell's patient running style will mesh with the OL, but volume will be a non-issue.
Le'Veon Bell will not play in the Jets' preseason opener.
It's a smart move after Bell sat out 2018. The Jets plan to limit Bell's preseason touches, but he's going to get enough reps to be comfortable in the new offense. Bell may not see the massive workloads he got in Pittsburgh coming off a long layoff on a depth chart with a few pass catchers behind him, but he's safe to draft as a mid-range RB1.

What is the story with the Jets O line this year? For those considering Bell?
And Washington without Trent isn’t in the upper half. Sounds like that relationship is broken, it’s more about the medical staff & lack of trust than not having any guaranteed money left on his current deal. They did add Ryan Kalil after that article was written
still pretty below average. WIth Kalil or without. I keep hearing blurbs about Ty Montgomery too so keep that in mind. What is the story with the Jets O line this year? For those considering Bell?
Montgomery will be a hybrid tool, he won't eat into Bell's touchesstill pretty below average. WIth Kalil or without. I keep hearing blurbs about Ty Montgomery too so keep that in mind.
Reports from camp are that the oline actually looks really good and that's before Kalil although Winters just got hurt.still pretty below average. WIth Kalil or without. I keep hearing blurbs about Ty Montgomery too so keep that in mind.
I don't think it's that egregious but I'm certainly not targeting him there in a twelve-team scenario. I'm thinking top half of second, though.Am I the only one baffled by Bell going 5th? He goes from Pittsburgh to the Jets and is literally not downgraded? I wouldn’t take him until the 2/3 turn.
5th is ridiculous. 2/3 turn is way late. But I am with you generally. Not a guy I really want on my team this year. I'd probably take him as the 9th RB off the board, which means he won't be on any of my teams.Am I the only one baffled by Bell going 5th? He goes from Pittsburgh to the Jets and is literally not downgraded? I wouldn’t take him until the 2/3 turn.
Man.....how we forget.Am I the only one baffled by Bell going 5th? He goes from Pittsburgh to the Jets and is literally not downgraded? I wouldn’t take him until the 2/3 turn.
Considering he went 1 or 2 last year, he is being downgraded. Him falling to the 2/3 turn is pretty unrealistic anyways when you consider that Isaaih Crowell had some monster games and the Jets offensive line and weapons have been upgraded.Am I the only one baffled by Bell going 5th? Think he goes around the 1/2 turn in PPR. No way a RB with his pass catching skills drops outside of the second round.Considering he went 1 or 2 last year, he is being downgraded. ESPN's Rich Cimini projects Le'Veon Bell for 15-20 touches Week 1 against the Bills.
When asked if there were any restrictions for Bell in his first game in almost two calendar years, Jets coach Adam Gase said, "No, he's ready to go." Bell could lose some snaps early in the season to Ty Montgomery despite Gase's comments, but he's still locked into an RB1 role if he sees the projected 15-20 touches and should get better as the season progresses after not playing this preseason.

(RotoWire) Bell rushed 17 times for 60 yards and caught six of nine targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bills. He also caught a two-point conversion.
Analysis: With a five-yard carry on his first touch, Bell became the fastest player in league history to reach 8,000 scrimmage yards, doing so in just 63 games. He didn't find much running room in this defensive struggle but flashed his pass-catching skills on a third-quarter possession, scoring New York's lone offensive touchdown with a nine-yard reception and following it up with a two-point conversion. Bell's supporting cast looks notably weaker than it was in Pittsburgh, but the versatile running back should still flourish given his tremendous skill set.
LE’VEON BELL PROVES QUITE ELUSIVE IN HIS JETS DEBUT
Though he had a modest performance from a box score perspective (92 yards, 23 touches), Le’Veon Bell was electric with the ball in his hands in his New York Jets debut. He forced a whopping nine missed tackles and averaged 3.53 yards after contact per attempt on the ground, and he did so despite being contacted at or behind the line of scrimmage on 11 of his 17 carries on the day. If he gets a little bit more help from his offensive line, the box score will start to look even better for Bell in games moving forward with New York.
Coach Adam Gase told reporters that Le'Veon Bell (shoulder) won't practice Thursday and will get an MRI.
The Jets are falling apart at the seams, as Sam Darnold (mono) has been ruled out for Week 2 and it appears that could be in Bell's potential range of outcomes as well. At the very least, it seems unlikely that Bell will play 100% of the Jets' offensive snaps Monday night against the Browns like he did in Week 1. Ty Montgomery is Bell's handcuff and would instantly be elevated into the RB2 conversation if Bell ultimately misses action.

Adam Gase on Le'Veon Bell's shoulder: "This could be just soreness. We don’t think it’s anything worse than that. But we’re probably being a little extra cautious."
Doubt it. Powell is 204. Monty profiles as a better early down back.Is there a chance that Bilal would take over lead back duties and Montgomery would continue as COP back if Bell misses time? Montgomery getting only 2 touches would indicate that Gase isn't that high on him.
Judging by preseason, Montgomery played the role of lead back when Bell wasn't there. It wasn't just a COP thing. Is there a chance that Bilal would take over lead back duties and Montgomery would continue as COP back if Bell misses time? Montgomery getting only 2 touches would indicate that Gase isn't that high on him.
Powell almost suffered a career-ending neck injury. He's not carrying any load. Bell should okay. Until then, the add is Montgomery and not Bilal, though Powell has never done anything but run hard and reasonably well for a starting back.Ty Montgomery is a wildcard. They brought him in on the veteran minimum. They gave him opportunities in the preseason hoping he could create a little magic. He hasn't. The Jets knew it was a long shot. I don't think it will be at all surprising if Montgomery doesn't get more than 30% of snaps on Monday night if Bell is out. Maybe they'll give Montgomery a chance to prove himself. But he'll be on a very short leash and could be overtaken by the 2nd quarter.
This would be my concern but only if the game is out of hand at the half. Big stage and I'd think he'd want to be out there.Yeah he'll play...........
For a half..........
Coach Adam Gase told reporters Friday that Le'Veon Bell (shoulder) is good to go for the Jets' Week 2 matchup against the Browns.
Gase also confirmed that Bell would practice Saturday. He's set up well against a Browns defense that yielded 159 total yards and a pair of touchdowns to Derrick Henry in Week 1. Bell is locked in as the Jets' three-down back after playing a perfect 71-of-71 snaps in the team's Week 1 loss to the Bills. His dominant receiving ability makes him a no-doubt RB1, particularly with Trevor Siemian having a history of checking the ball down.

Le'Veon Bell (shoulder) is officially questionable for Week 2 against the Browns.
All signs point to Bell playing, but he'll be without his starting quarterback and two key defenders on the other side of the ball. Bell's full-snap workload makes him game script-independent, and he should be targeted heavily if the Jets trail. Bell is a solid RB1, especially after Derrick Henry went off against Cleveland last week.
