I think you'd be hard pressed to find 1 confident person in all the land.Anyone feel confident firing him up?
Yeah, I need a potential D. Henry replacement and it's either Bell or Mostert (who is not a slam dunk either).I think you'd be hard pressed to find 1 confident person in all the land.
Playing him in 1 league out of necessity, sitting him in 2 others. Not expecting much at all, but if he can eke out a few dump off passes I'm okay with it.
Any indications on how much play he's getting this week?Active week 5 per Siciliano
Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) is active for Week 5 against the Cardinals.
This was expected after Bell was taken off IR. Bell practiced fully this week and is reportedly more healthy than he was at the start of the season. It's possible Bell is featured on an offense desperate for playmakers, but he comes with a low floor after missing the last three weeks.

... Bell was rusty and I don't know what kind of gameplan Gase was planning, but if you're not going to play Bell to his strengths ... why is he out there?Le'Veon Bell rushed 13 times for 60 yards, catching his lone target for seven yards in New York's Week 5 loss to the Cardinals.
Bell's 4.6 yards per carry seem encouraging before you #watchthetape and see the massive lanes New York's offensive line created up the middle. Bell admittedly lacked explosion any time he was asked to turn the corner. He out-touched Frank Gore 14 to 9, but Bell's lone target from Joe Flacco is an absolute disaster for anyone who was hoping the 28-year-old would offer a high floor upon returning. He'll remain a usage-based RB3 in next week's contest against the Chargers.

Are you suggesting that Le'Veon Bell is trying to force his team's hand? Pretty serious accusation. Is there a precedence for this with Bell?I got thoughts on it all but for now I'll just relay that after the game yesterday he refused interview requests, deleted all but two IG posts and anything to do with the Jets and then went on the Twitter and proceeded to "like" multiple posts saying he should be traded because they don't know how to use him and/or posts lamenting he only got one target.
This has been the issue since last season with Gase and Bell. Gase is an utter buffoon who would rather have what Frank Gore brings to the table than Bell.... Bell was rusty and I don't know what kind of gameplan Gase was planning, but if you're not going to play Bell to his strengths ... why is he out there?
100% yes to the first bolded and no to the second as far as I know. Are you suggesting that Le'Veon Bell is trying to force his team's hand? Pretty serious accusation. Is there a precedence for this with Bell?
You don't think he forced the Steelers' hand when he held out?100% yes to the first bolded and no to the second as far as I know.
You don't think he forced the Steelers' hand when he held out?
I assume we're all being sarcastic here. You don't think he forced the Steelers' hand when he held out?
Based off what happened to Dak yesterday are there still really people who don’t think these guys should do everything in their power to get their money when they can? Absurd to me people still blame players in these situations. You don't think he forced the Steelers' hand when he held out?
Point is, Bell got paid and now should theoretically be happy about that, no? No. Instead he's "liking" posts suggesting that the Jets trade him and his monster salary to... ???Based off what happened to Dak yesterday are there still really people who don’t think these guys should do everything in their power to get their money when they can? Absurd to me people still blame players in these situations.
Oh ffs. Oof. This is true, unfortunately.Problem is, only one team in the NFL was dumb enough to pay him.
Absolutely.Based off what happened to Dak yesterday are there still really people who don’t think these guys should do everything in their power to get their money when they can? Absurd to me people still blame players in these situations.
I don’t want to defend Bell too much, but when the news breaks a story that Gase never wanted him and ever since Gase has refused to use his strengths and instead just runs him up the middle it’s kind of hard to have Team spirit.Point is, Bell got paid and now should theoretically be happy about that, no? No. Instead he's "liking" posts suggesting that the Jets trade him and his monster salary to... ???
Bell and Dak situations are quite different. Bell wanted to be paid for what he DID, and Dak looking to get paid for what he can do going forward. Also, unfair to compare RB value in winning vs QB.
I see a 4-0 PIT team with Bell's backup at RB. What exactly has Bell done to turn the NYJ franchise around? I'm sure they would love to trade him. Problem is, only one team in the NFL was dumb enough to pay him. Can they trade him to themselves?
I would fully agree with you if it were not for the fact that this exactly where Bell put himself. Steelers offered him a deal, he wanted more - maybe rightfully so, but beside the point - and at that time made the choice to walk away from a situation that was perfect for his game/career and take the biggest bag of money he could find from a terrible football team.Dr. Octopus said:I don’t want to defend Bell too much, but when the news breaks a story that Gase never wanted him and ever since Gase has refused to use his strengths and instead just runs him up the middle it’s kind of hard to have Team spirit.
Who is gonna trade for this guy, anyways?Faust said:
Bell has proven talent but teams may be afraid of the price tag.Chicago should go get him. Montgomery is trash and Bell looked great out there Sunday.
Sure and he might not go anywhere because of it but he sure could help the Bears.Bell has proven talent but teams may be afraid of the price tag.
The “price tag” as in salary or in what the Jets are seeking as compensation. I can’t imagine the latter is all that high. As to salary the pro-rated cap hit should be around $5-6MM which is high but not too outrageous. I do agree that there likely won’t be too many buyers lining up but all it takes is one of two.Bell has proven talent but teams may be afraid of the price tag.
Bring him to Pittsburgh. I think the offense would really suit his...Jets are trying to trade Bell, according to the NY Daily News
The ironic thing is the Steelers deal was actually as good or better than the deal he got from the Jets. Plus he sat out and missed out on a whole season of paychecks.I would fully agree with you if it were not for the fact that this exactly where Bell put himself. Bed made. He must lie in it. Should be enough money to keep him warm while he watches the play-offs from his elaborate man cave for the rest of his career.
It won’t happen.Change of scenery and Bell is gonna be a lotto Ticket to punch to the fantasy playoffs
Unless it's Pittsburgh (and it won't be), I seriously doubt that.Change of scenery and Bell is gonna be a lotto Ticket to punch to the fantasy playoffs

Fun fact: Le’Veon Bell’s last 20+ yard carry came on Christmas of 2017 and he’s due $6M for the rest of this season.
My guess is he’ll hold out, sign a big deal with a trash team like the Jets, struggle, and be out of the league in 3 years, but at least he’ll have gotten paid
I don't know man, I could see him still having something left. Think I only own 1 share, and he's not really relevant to my team, but you'd think if he had any pride, he'd be motivated to play well somewhere so he could tell the Jets to suck it.I doubt he's ever relevant again. Won me a bunch of $$$ some years ago.
