RB Le'Veon Bell, FA (4 Viewers)

Rotoworld:

Coach Mike Tomlin said he's not concerned with overworking Le'Veon Bell.
The Steelers had to cut a disgruntled and disruptive LeGarrette Blount earlier this month, leaving them with no viable backup to Bell. Fantasy owners have been thrilled with the results. In the last two games, Bell is averaging a whopping 32.0 touches for 238.0 total yards with two touchdowns. The Steelers are going to keep feeding the beast at Cincy in Week 14.

Had a 1st half RZ carry down to the 6 inch line that Roeth vultured a TD pass to Heath the next play. Could've had another TD to make it close to ~50pts today but certainly not complaining with the yards and 3 tds arleady.

Beast when Arians and Roeth feed him. :tebow:

you mean Haley??

If you'd told me at the start of this season that Bell would be in the conversation for the 1.01 pick in 2015 redrafts, this would have been my approximate reaction:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

But here we are in Week 14 and ... is there anyone else you'd put ahead of him? Just a total beast in every phase of the offense.

They should have been using him like this all year. They'd probably have a better record. He's the #1 RB in fantasy football right now.

He's easily the #1 pick in dynasty right now imo

Well. He probably won't be because in all likelihood he will be suspended the first 2 games of next year thanks to the DUI Pot thing. Still, even with that 2 game suspension looming he is probably a top 5 pick.

That's still debatable. It depends on your line up requirements. I could see taking a few WR ahead of him.

There's a wealth of good young WRs, young stud every down RBs are in short supply. Gronk and Graham are the only ones in the conversation in tight end friendly leagues imo.

Not going to lie, Leveon had me sweating balls in what I thought was going to be easy win on Thursday.

edit: This screenshot did not fully represent what I felt at the moment when I only have Gronks going up against Mccoy, Brady, and Gostkowski. If you followed me with a camera 24 hr, you could see how my mood changed throughout the day

How many firsts is this kid worth in dynasty?
I own him in one of my dynasties and it would take 3 2015 firsts and another prospect. Out of those 3 firsts one would have to be top 3, one top 6 and the other just in the first.

Edit: and I would have to be in total rebuild. Like he is my only top 50 talent on my team.

Yeah i own him in dynasty right now and he's completely untouchable. He's the type of player you build teams around. My team has been hurt by injuries and bad trades on my part and I still have decent title equity with Bell and Godgers on my team.

Hopefully he gets lucky, stays relatively healthy, and has a long career.

^ Whoops, I always get steelers' OCs/DCs current and old mixed up  . Let's just hope Roeth knows a good thing when he sees it and doesn't start to audible out of Bell RZ situations again like earlier this season.

I'm praying to all that is holy above for Bell to roll thru week 16 on this streak of his.

I think he actually scored on the play, but they didn't challenge it because it was 1st and goal from the 1 inch line anyway.

Lol @ milkman not even acknowledging his previous comments about Bell. You should exit this thread and never come back Milkman. He went from no upside to untouchable.

1.01 next year in PPR redrafts.

I've took Charles this year (random order) when McCoy was the consensus. I suspect Jamaal will be the consensus next year but it should be Bell.

I believe the comp. I would make to him is Jamal Lewis. The feet are not as nimble but he might be a a tad faster (yet not as quick to wiggle). Probably has more flexibility than Lewis.

I think for Bell it will come down to where he lands. Put him in St. Louis and I'm really starting to watch. Put him in New York as a complement with a specialized role and I don't think he will evolve much past that.
:goodposting:

If he goes to GB, St. Louis, maybe even Pittsburgh, I will think much different of him than if he goes to Baltimore...
Jamal Lewis both tore an ACL and spent a year in prison in the heart of his career, but still scored 1842 fantasy points.I will bet $20 squazillion that Le'Veon Bell doesn't score more than 1000 (i.e. roughly half as many as Lewis) in his entire career.
Christmas is going to be nice for Ms. Shutout and the little shutouts in about two years when WDCROB pays me that $20 Squadzillion :)

He might not even get suspended. I am not sure how the NFL rules work, but if he takes a plea bargain can they still suspend for DUI?

No way will Charles be ahead of Bell.
I don't see why not. People are just thinking of what happened most recent. Bell is hot right now but Charles is a legit threat to not only have a high floor but to also explode when needed. That game he had last year against the Raiders single-handedly won fantasy titles. Maybe Charles has nother great game like that next week.

And if there happens to be any speculation about Bell getting suspended to start next season you will see a lot of "Charles and Bell are close but I took Charles because I didn't want to start the season with Bell suspended" comments.

Overall, though, you may have to throw Murray in this mix and although nobody will think of it, guys like Forte and Foster and Lacy and Shady are all worthy too. People won't think of it that way because they will be looking at a letdown year, an aging player, etc, but all these guys, in a different year can easily be the top fantasy rb.

sometimes these dynasty know it alls really put their foots in their mouths. Love it

Yes, a plea bargain will get you suspended. His own lawyer even acknowledged that he will likely face a 2 game ban next year. It is pretty much a slamdunk at this point he will be suspended for the first two games next year which will mean he won't be 1.01 in re-drafts.

He actually, would face an immediate suspension but conveniently the judge is not scheduled to sign-off on his plea agreement until February 6th. Just after this season's Super Bowl.

Is this still the case with the recent change to the policy?

Bell has 711 YFS over the last 3 games, along with 5 TDs. He is the 2nd player in NFL history (going back to 1960) to put up 200+ YFS in three straight games.

The first was this guy, who did it in his MVP 1977 season.

He's going to torch a porous Falcon D and though the Chief D is decent, they will roll into Pittsburgh with nothing to play for.

I am amazed by his transformation. IMO he was not very good in 2012 or 2013. Different guy this year.

In 2012 he led the NCAA in rushing attempts with 382, but had a pedestrian (by college standards) 4.69 YPC. Despite all those carries, he ranked just 14th in the nation with 13 runs of 20+ yards and averaged a long run on just 3.4% of his carries. That same season Todd Gurley had 15 long runs on 222 carries (6.8%). Eddie Lacy had 13 on 204 carries (6.4%). Melvin Gordon had 9 on 62 carries (14.5%!!!).

2013 was an extension of that. He ranked 12th in the league in carries, but tied for 24th in the league with 4 long runs. He averaged a long run on just 1.6% of his carries. He had one of the worst YPC averages of any RB with 200+ carries at 3.5 YPC (only Rice, Mendenhall, BJGE, and MJD were worse). All in all, he just wasn't a very good runner. Of the Stacy/Lacy/Bell trio, I would've pegged him as the most likely to flop going into year two. No doubt about it.

This year has been a complete 180 though. He's averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He's breaking a lot more long runs. He has 8 on 242 carries, which is more than double his rate from a year ago. I don't know if it's physical maturity, experience, scheme, variance, or some combination of all of the above, but he's like a totally different player.

He's always had the vision. This year he shed the pounds to get the wheels. He can finally burst through the holes that his eyes were seeing before they close up.
