Because sometimes (actually a lot of the times in todays modern world of bigger is always better) scouts and GM’s look past heart, work ethic, grit, IQ, work ethic (did I mention work ethic?) determination, being a great teammate and competitor when comparing two players with equal talent physically but one guy is 5’9 190 and the other is 6’1’ 225.Never saw him play, but live near aurora where he played HS.
It was one week. If it happens again, and the raiders @ 5280 on a short week doesnt hurt, he may push rb2. I do believe freeman will lead the way barring injury. Its all about snaps and touches for both.
And for those of u worried about durability, even on the smal side, check out his wiki page CU stats (in the decent pac12) for 2016-17
542 rush atts
2700 yds at 5ypc
Oh, and 76 rec for almost 800 yds more.
30+ tds
How he went undrafted is a mystery.
My other league where I have Royce, I picked up Yeldon first and then someone else got Lindsay.Smart man. Well worth a shot.
Not much at all if he can’t ball. What would you be willing to pay for Lindsay’s cuff? Is a WR5 too much?
NopeIt should be his backfield. He’s a better football player than Royce Freeman.
Well, I guess it appears the job should not be Freeman's.Nope
Freeman has scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he has played including preseason. Lindsay has been good but Freeman is better.Well, I guess it appears the job should not be Freeman's.
The numbers just do not support your opinion. More touched and more yards per (way more) for Lindsay.Freeman has scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he has played including preseason. Lindsay has been good but Freeman is better.
Nah.Freeman has scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he has played including preseason. Lindsay has been good but Freeman is better.
Didn’t know just scoring short yardage TDs mean your a really good player. I do like Freeman but he has not been better then LindsayFreeman has scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he has played including preseason. Lindsay has been good but Freeman is better.
Too bad he didn't get the touchdown, but he looks so much better than Freeman. The offense just comes alive when he's touching the ball.In on 3 and 1 near the GL, converts. In on 1st and goal. In on 2nd and goal.
Not even close. Freeman is a plodder. Lindsay is dynamic and the back to own.Didn’t know just scoring short yardage TDs mean your a really good player. I do like Freeman but he has not been better then Lindsay
Denver has their Warrick Dunn; they just need to find their Mike Alston.
The era of autocorrect is going to be the death of pedants...when will it end?Not even close. Freeman is a plotter. Lindsay is dynamic and the back to own.
GL with your 4th round pick.
Didn’t know just scoring short yardage TDs mean your a really good player. I do like Freeman but he has not been better then Lindsay
I think you are way off base in your celebration. The guy was named the starting QB on a decent team - tell me one that wasn't drafted round 4 or sooner.![]()
I'm glad you guys finally see what I was dealing with. I got ridiculed all off-season in the Royce Freeman thread for suggesting that he was being over drafted and was JAG.
Their biggest argument for Freeman was that Devontae Booker was no good. Which always confused me.
im starting to think this isn't true......Lindsay is the guy everyone should of added after week1.Freeman has scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he has played including preseason. Lindsay has been good but Freeman is better.
It's different with rookies. Like I've said before, if every Rookie is special then none of them are special.I think you are way off base in your celebration. The guy was named the starting QB on a decent team - tell me one that wasn't drafted round 4 or sooner.
I have both...no way I can put Freeman in my lineup over Lindsay anymore.Didn’t know just scoring short yardage TDs mean your a really good player. I do like Freeman but he has not been better then Lindsay
first UDFA to do the underlined also.Lindsay had 15 touches compared to eight for Royce Freeman and three for Devontae Booker as he was the first Denver running back to ever have over 100-yards from scrimmage in each of his first two career games in franchise history. Lindsay has built off a strong preseason to overtake a lead role in this Denver backfield, but still doesn't have a firm grasp on the goal line work, which will keep him as a RB2/FLEX option Week 3 when the Broncos head to Baltimore.
Phillip Lindsay rushed five times for 31 yards and hauled in his only target for 18 yards in the Broncos' third preseason game.
Lindsay worked as the clear No. 3 back on Friday night, handling eight of the 33 snaps Case Keenum played. The undrafted rookie will struggle to create fantasy value behind Royce Freeman and Devontae Booker, but he appears to be next in line if something happens to either one.

Broncos signed Colorado RB Phillip Lindsay.
Lindsay (5’7/185) made 30 starts for the Buffaloes, breaking CU’s all-time record in yards from scrimmage (4,683) and logging a 765/3,775/4.9/36 career rushing line with 117 receptions. PFF College ranked Lindsay top 20 in the nation in both missed tackles forced (47) and yards after contact (809) in 2017. Still snubbed for a Combine invite, Lindsay blazed 4.38/4.41 at the Buffaloes’ Pro Day, also touching 35 ½" in the vertical. Lindsay offers kick return experience and has an outside chance to become a poor man’s Tarik Cohen.

I am pretty sure this was Eric Bienemy's record he broke (he was from Nola fwiw). It's just funny, Bienemy was a mid 2nd round pick and Lindsay doesn't even get drafted.Lindsay (5’7/185) made 30 starts for the Buffaloes, breaking CU’s all-time record in yards from scrimmage (4,683)

Leroy Hoard was all-world, huh?Don't Noonan said:Freeman has scored a TD in 4 of the 5 games he has played including preseason. Lindsay has been good but Freeman is better.
yeah certainly looks that way for now. things can change but lindsay is the manLindsey is the man.
I overdrafted Royce Freeman, believing he was the next great Denver RB.
wow I was wrong.
this crow tastes delicious. :(
I thought 4.12 was good value.yeah certainly looks that way for now. things can change but lindsay is the man
