No, you on Booker Island was the most epic fail, mainly due to the ensuing cringey meltdown.

I've personally got him in zero redrafts, so I don't really care about your beef with the other people in here or Freeman's redraft ADP. I just can't help but facepalm every time I see you bump this thread. You got so mad at people for calling you out, yet here you are trying to call other people out. So petty and hypocritical.

This is a case where the coach is standing int he way of both backs. 2 weeks in a row, 40+ passes to 15 or less runs. Can't win like that. I think VJ if he has any chance of keeping his job will have to figure out that running Freeman and Lindsay 30 combined times a game is the way to win for Denver right now. Or maybe he won't.

The problem is that Denver's defense somehow became awful. They rank last in the league in rushing yards (968) and ypc (5.7). They don't appear as bad in passing yards per game because teams just don't have to pass against them, but on a yards per attempt basis, they are the 9th worst (7.8 ypa).

Or what? You'll scream and cry like a little baby so more? Because you are 50/50 on your predictions. That's right, a coin toss. And at the same time you are saying people should listen to you when calling heads or tails will be equally as predictive. 

And let's just get this straight. When you are wrong on a prediction and you get called on it you  :cry:  I'm not talking some little sniffles here. I'm talking full on tantrum, rolling on the floor pounding your legs and fists into the ground. And then at the same time, when anything goes your way, you come in here and thump your chest and gloat about how right you are and that people should be listening to you. To sum up, you lose your mind when people call you on being wrong, but the first chance you get to call others out for being wrong you jump on it. There's a word for that. Anyone want to help me out here on what that is?

Agree, good post. Outside of the reality that unless Lindsay becomes a stud at pass pro, this offense is going to involve three backs. But the run:pass ratio will still tilt pass because:

a) The DEN D has been susceptible. Without Talib and Harris playing at full shut-down strength, Roby isn't good enough to hold his own while the safeties need to frequently play run support for a middling LB crew that have been absolutely been torched by RBs over the last few weeks.

b) the O-line is bottom of bottom third in terms of overall rank and are susceptible to the pass rush (top third in sacks allowed), and back themselves up constantly with false starts -- 13 this year - compared to a league avg of 8 - for 130 yards, worst in the league and by far the most penalized category for the team.

c) Case is simply not that good -- this team is going to have to pass a lot to keep up, and Case isn't good enough with reads and staying poised to use the run to set up the pass more. 

All three cause longer fields and frequent long, early down-distance situations that are going to limit the upside of Freeman, and all other backs in this offense.

Where are you getting this 50% number from? Go look at my post history in the Shark Pool. Better yet, head into the Sports Betting thread and ask them if I'm only right 50% of the time.

You realize I'm pretty much a professional sports gambler, right?

I mean, shoot, I asked you multiple times to put your money where your mouth was and you chickened out.

Again, I was wrong about Booker being the starter. Who cares? I was right about Freeman being overvalued and that was way more impressive, considering it was a contrarian advice.

What I was wrong about had no consequence. What you were wrong about wasted a 3rd /4th round pick. Don't act like all predictions are created equal. You went for the low lying fruit. I was brave enough to go against groupthink.

I "threw a tantrum" against a bunch of internet tough guys who ended up being wrong but spent weeks laughing at me for my CORRECT viewpoint that they couldn't see. I was emotional because I've been doing this so for long, I knew I was right but had to wait months to prove it.

It's called losing the battle to win the war and I have no shame.

Let the record show, I was wrong about Devontae Booker being starter and right about Royce Freeman being overvalued.

If we were going to see eye-to-eye, it would have happened by now. So let's just move on...

There was no mention of an injury but I found Freemans complete absence in the 4th quarter to be strange. For the first 3 quarters Lindsay and him were rotating but in the 4th only Lindsay saw the field except for a couple of snaps from Booker.

Did you watch the game?  "the other rookie" went 14 for 90 (about 6.5 ypc) 

Not sayin it's a trend, but...

Freeman is leroy hoard on a debatable offense.  It was a not so good zona team obviously, and next week @ arrowhead will determine the donkey's season.

 
Royce Freeman rushed 13 times for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos' Week 7 win over the Cardinals.

As Phillip Lindsay was running all over the Cardinals' pathetic run defense, Freeman had one of his quietest games of the season. He's now been held below three yards per carry in back-to-back games, dropping his YPC from 5.10 to 4.35. Freeman has been solid as a rookie, Lindsay has simply been better. Freeman will be a touchdown-dependent FLEX for Week 8 against the Chiefs.

Yeah but the game was out of hand so why overload your best asset? I know who is better but I still wouldn't be surprised if Freeman ends up on the injury list next week.

VJ @ his presser today said he didn't know if freeman would travel to KC.   Wonder how many owners will hold if it's a month +

 
ROFL. Anyone who has done this for any length of time has players he was 100% right about and an equal amount he was 100% wrong about. I couldn't imagine being so happy and proud about one call that you got semi-right.  Can you even imagine how low this Stu guy's hit rate must be if he's jumping up and down and crying for attention like this over getting one right? Sad

ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports the Broncos remain "hopeful" Royce Freeman (ankle) suits up for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Freeman has apparently shed his walking boot, though he did not practice either Wednesday or Thursday. He needs to get in at least a "limited" session on Friday to have any shot at suiting up.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Royce Freeman (ankle) is not expected to play Week 9 against the Texans.

Reportedly dealing with a high-ankle sprain, it would have been a stretch for Freeman to return just two weeks after suffering the injury. He appears close, however, and should be ready to go following Denver's Week 10 bye. With Freeman out, Phillip Lindsay will once again work as the No. 1 with Devontae Booker filling in on passing downs.

A week 11 return sounds about right for a mild high ankle sprain.  Anything more severe and we are looking at closer to fantasy playoff weeks.

 
The Broncos expect Royce Freeman (ankle) back for Week 11 against the Chargers.

Dealing with a high ankle sprain, Freeman has been out since Week 7. He will return to a committee alongside Phillip Lindsay and Devontae Booker. Freeman was a touchdown-or-bust flex option early in the season, and we wouldn't expect that to change in the back half. Lindsay has outplayed him all year.
