It's love for this stat line and hopium for its recurrence: 14-136-1, 3-56-1.

That said, *if* Bucky is out for a while, when starters get hurt, backups emerge. Maybe that's Rashad. Maybe it's Tucker. We shall see. Either/both need to stay healthy themselves - probably good not to feature either to keep both fresh, like in Seattle and Washington. Some of that same sauce may need to apply to Bucky when he returns to keep him readied for a playoff run. Bucs are 3-1 and ideally want at least two of these three RBs healthy come playoff time, with Bucky being one of the final two. Or maybe Tucker becomes that superhero. That's the best part of fantasy football. Nobody knows right now, but having RB lotto tix cached for moments like this has won me leagues before.
 
There's a lot of focus on Tucker's big game last year, but he did average close to 5 YPC even if you take out his production against the Saints. He averaged over 6 YPC for the season on 50 carries. Small sample size, but this dude has some juice.

Without the heart issue, Tucker likely would've been a day-2 pick. He's not a JAG. I'm open to the possibility he could be their best natural runner. Depending on how long Bucky is out and how many touches Tucker gets, we'll find out a lot more about whether he's starting material. Tucker has never been given a chance to prove it one way or the other.

Tucker isn't startable unless his coach surprises us and starts him over White. I doubt that is happening. Tucker would then just be a stash, just like he was before, only one step closer.

My eye test for Tucker has been lit up everytime I watch him play. I think he has potential to do real work in Bucky's absence if the Bucs OL can pull it together. They are still having OL health/permformance issues, is that right? Is that how we came to this with Bucky? Not a fan of OL issues.

I get that and I am not saying it can't happen, but coaches and players like to win. Their jobs kind of depend on it. If he was that great why draft Bucky and play him over the guy that was already there, it he so much better than White, then why didn't they move White and roll with Bucky and Tucker?

Not going to get into too much in how the coaches think, except to say it appears they love White. He's the clear starter if Irving is out. Or at least I think he is

Hasn't Rachaad looked good this year when getting touches? Or is he just feeding on bad defenses? First two games he averaged 6.5 ypc, then fell off to under 3 ypc the next two games. Not getting many touches though. I have a couple shares of Tucker and he's been close to being dropped several times. Not very optimistic this is his shot either...been 3 years now.

Yeah, their OL hasn't been too good. Getting Wirfs back should be a big help (if he's fully healthy).

Depending on the severity of Irving's injury, now may be a good time to sell Tucker to the White owner. Personally I'll just hold Tucker because he didn't cost me anything of value in case he matters around fantasy playoff time.

Tampa has not faced a bad defense.

I do think Rachaad has looked better this year in his limited touches.

I think they wanted and still want a combo of White the grinder plus an electric RB to compliment him (and/or takeover like Bucky sort of did). Bucky is the starter in that (Gibbs) role and Tucker is the backup Gibbs, who might be anything but, or a decent wannabe, or a superhero, or even a duck. Who knows, but it's fun speculating!

Whatever happens, I'm really going to need this to result in no less than 5 carries on Sunday. Sent out Kendre Miller for a 3rd prior to the start of the season to keep this kick returner on my bench with 1 carry because the talent was supposedly too good.

If you've held on to Tucker until this point, you're almost obligated to keep him through the offseason to see if White leaves, right?
 
The thing I hate, is it just seems like Tucker can go 16 carries for 197 yards and 2 TD's, and 8 catches on 10 targets for another 91 yards and 2 TD's, and when Irving comes back the next week, Tucker will get 1 offensive snap.

Schefter said Bucky is Week to Week right now and the Bucs are NOT concerned this is a long term injury

Pretty much yeah, but let's say White goes down on the first drive.

I'm just bitter about mah boy. But Irving is very good.

White's NEVER been able to handle a full workload .
Id bet anything it's more of a 60/40 spilt in Whites favor. With Bucky hurting they aren't going to want to run White into the ground.
Tucker is more than capable of handling close to half the touches

Can't remember where I heard it,might of been towards end of last season,but recall something like If Bucky went down,White would remain in his role and Tucker would take over Bucky's role.
Again just something I THINK I recall hearing. Hope I right lol.

We all want our lotto tickets to hit.

I just don't see White having same amount of touches as Bucky did. Theirs a reason Bucky took job from White.

I meant we'll find out more about whether Tucker is a starting NFL caliber RB (assuming he gets enough touches). As far as FF, yeah, Tucker needs things to go his way.

Handling the work and being effective with it is two different things. In 2023 he had 253 rushes and 60 receptions as the clear lead back for Tampa, and I don’t recall him missing any games. He’s demonstrated he can handle the workload, which is why I believe, at least initially, he will be the clear lead back over Tucker.
 
I think it will get a 60/40 split in Whites favor.

But still have feeling Tucker gets the start and White remains in his role. Kinda like in Arizona where Carter is getting the start,while Demecado stays in his role he had behind Benson.
We will see Sunday.
Either way Im starting Tucker as B Robinson has a bye week.

I think Tucker might get 6-10 touches. I think this is more of 80/20 split for white. Bucs trust white and have a ton of injuries. This is a huge game for them vs a really rough d. They're not gonna get cute. Playing Tucker is a desperation at best. Hes a handcuff.

I agree. Besides, I doubt Irving is out more than a week or two, so it probably doesn't matter that much for Tucker, even if he has a good game. Obviously White is the play here, not Tucker. Yes, Tucker will be sprinkled in, but you can't play him in fantasy knowing that. Now watch the Bucs surprise us completely :)
 
Is this the same foot Bucky dealt with all of last year? He played through it and I don’t think he missed a game. I could see this linger and could reoccur. Tucker could be a league winner if Bucky has a lost season where he keeps aggravating his foot. Tampa is top tier and I’d like a piece of that for a dollar

I've also been stashing Tucker, but I expect White to be the main RB if Irving is out. Tucker isn't someone you could risk playing unless the coach came out and said Tucker would start and I don't expect that to happen. Unless I've missed some additional news, I would think Tucker would need two injuries to be able to play him. Will Tucker get some play if Irving is out, sure, but not enough to play him unless he's named the starter.

missed this before but yeah I agree. just a stash still. he did get 3 catches last week but got lit up for -4 yards.
