Until we know for sure that Bucky's foot isn't something that will linger, I consider Tucker an any moment breakout candidate. Depending on league structure, it's good to have some of those as part of team construction.

Call me an impatient if I'm dropping him from a 30-man roster with taxi squads. However, I'm nearing a point of cutting bait in a 24x12 dynasty and I don't think that's being unreasonable. The Bucky injury and White free agent status is probably enough for me to hold on for this year and see what happens in the offseason. If this usage continues and the #2 job isn't served to him on a silver platter, I'm out. I might be tempted to do something before that if he can't contribute on the limited chances he gets, but it at least feels like he has an outside chance to do something this year. It didn't feel that way three weeks ago.

Pass blocking. White does every single thing better than Tucker does. Complete player, team loves him.

Pass blocking an even bigger component now with 40% of the OL hurt. No way is Tucker getting much run out there, barring a White injury or major struggle.

In terms of whether he'll ever be relevant in FF, it feels like we'll just have to wait and see. Irving was a surprise home run last year and White is a decent NFL player, so Tucker has just kind of been stuck there without great opportunity. That they aren't forcing touches suggests they don't love him, but he wouldn't be on the 53 if they thought he was JAG level. Once you get past the elite backs in the NFL, there's a big glut of guys who can put in a shift when called upon, but aren't exciting enough to command steady work.

At the moment Tucker seems to be stuck in this Jordan Mason/Keaton Mitchell type of territory.

I wouldn't go out and pay a premium for him in dynasty, but he remains an intriguing stash IMO.

Looks to be a FA after this season if I'm not mistaken. Demand for his services should be telling, one way or another.

...Or he hits that lowly FA RB pool and withers and dies. He's not elite level and it seems only those guys or guys that have had decent time as a starter get a retread opportunity. There are several RBs out there that should probably be on an NFL roster, but get passed over for older, less talented, washed up guys because they were with a coach somewhere else or knows the system. I have zero faith he'll get a legit chance to be a starter. IF he does get signed, it will be somewhere that already has a couple decent RBs and he'll be a part of a RBBC with 2 other RBs on the roster. I could also see him resigning with TB...especially if he doesn't get a sniff from another team. They probably value him the most since he knows their system. Or he could go to JAX and be a part of that RBBC mess. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Certainly not a given he finds his way to center stage, much like Mason. But it is a tough position to stay healthy, so it just takes one team to believe he has the talent to give him a few more opps. If he can consistently deliver is still a question mark. Although I compare his possible trajectory to Mason, I think Mason is more talented (but have always been biased towards him).

Interesting, i thought Tucker hit the drill the best with his quick steps but you clearly see Bucky and White with big safety head gear so they don't get hurt
You can see how the Bucs are prioritizing all 3 of them

White had 1,500/9 TD in '23 and even with Irving bursting on the scene, White still had 1,000 total yds, 9 TD and another 51 catches
Bucs may have the most talented overall backfield in the league or at least the deepest

I wrote this in preseason and it still matters IMHO...Bucky has a safety thing around his helmet, White does too and Tucker is not given a protective device for his helmet
Why not when you watch that video? Because the Bucs don't look at Tucker the same way the FF community has been trying to look at him

Guardian caps are mandatory for all RBs during contact practice drills. Players choose whether they want to wear them in other situations.
