RB Trey Benson, ARZ (1 Viewer)

Picked up Carter and Demarcado to try to flip them in dynasties, lets see what happens
Isn't that like swapping your beautiful wife out for Rosie O'Donnell?
I don’t follow I dropped Joe Flacco and Kavonta Turpin for reference.

Benson out 4-6 weeks, I’m sure one of these guys will prove to be of value (at least higher than the guys I dropped)
I was just joking about the idea of ever replacing anyone in my lineup for either of them.

Haha there are less fortunate rosters out there that would welcome a fresh set of legs at RB

I BELIEVE!

He played on Thursday but was he then put back on the practice squad?
All Practice Squad call-ups are automatically reverted back to Practice Squad on Tuesday - no paperwork needed. It's the process and status of the team spot. They can call-up a player 3 times before they have to sign/cut.
Once back on the Practice Squad, they can be signed to the 53-man roster (or cut/waivered) - paperwork is needed.

Me, genius: dealt for benson because I have Conner.

My league-mate: adds Carter for free at 05:00 AM today.

I have to laugh because I had to bid last night and took Carter on a chance for a buck and I have a guy I can potentially start with risk on Sunday. Is TN's run defense that bad? Everyone assumes it is, but I think that might be a bad assumption. I'll check. This is not the slam dunk play everybody thinks. You've got a first and second-down back (maybe!) and, at best, Demercado takes third and two-minute drill.

This is more of a "why Trey Benson was always a bad idea" post more than anything.

Tried trading for Benson when I had Conner. Glad the Benson owner wanted too much.
Benson will likely be the starting RB in AZ in 2026. Wouldn’t go patting yourself on the back for failing to get it done just yet.

I am not sure, I wouldn't go that far. Michael Carter was supposed to get the job and the Jets drafted Breece, Chester Taylor and then Peterson was drafted, Tyler Allgeier and they drafted Bijan. I am sure there is more that I can't think of.

In 1966 I was supposed to be the starting RB on my high school team, then this guy came to my school - https://www.reddit.com/r/marriedwit...his_day_in_1966_al_bundy_made_sports_history/

These injuries are just unbelievable. At this rate, what is the league as a whole going to look like in a month? Never seen anything like this in 35 years FF.

It's brutal. And really, the Shark Pool doesn't discuss defensive players going down. IDP leaguers have lost some huge studs recently. The Lamar Jackson/Roquan Smith owners are having a lousy week.

The IDP losses this year have been a bloodbath. I lost Madabuike for the season. Yikes.

Thanks. Him getting pulled back up was good insight to that Trey was messed up. This thing stunk since that occurred. The team saying his injury was nothing serious is the typical BS they say.

In a dynasty league with 22 roster spots but no IR I have these guys clogging up my roster.
Conner- will probably cut
Benson
Mixon- probably cut
Lamb
McMillan
Kittle

The exact same thing has been said on the shark pool every year for the last 35 years.

This year hasn't even been THAT bad. Probably not even top 10 out of 35. There were years where nearly half the first round were out with serious injuries by this point in the season before.

Not sure about that. 3-4 starters a week has been the norm this year. Maybe more. Last year was bad this year is trending towrds the highest injury total and we are 4 weeks in. My team alone, Worthy, Benson, Evans, Bower and Charbs.

Who is holding in smaller leagues / short benches?

Four weeks is tough and it could be six weeks.
Dropped in my 8-team home league in favor of keeping Aiyuk in my IR slot. Keeping on IR in my 10-teamers. If I needed to pick someone up and didn't have the IR slot available, I'd feel OK dropping in most leagues; I think he's still got the most talent in this backfield, but 4-6 is a tough spot if you need the RB depth through the byes.

Dropping him in a 16-team, 17 man roster league, no IR slots

Just too many tempting RB lotto tickets out there this week to hold him. The Cards offense still has no idea what it's doing

Prioritized Isaiah Davis over Brashad Smith after learning that Braelon Allen was going on IR for 4+ weeks, like Benson. Jets offense knows exactly what it's doing...its just not very good at it

Emmanuel Wilson and Kaleb Johnson are still free agents

Thinking about picking him back up this week in my short bench league now that byemageddon is behind me. I'm out of FAAB mostly thanks to a 55% bid I put in on Benson a month ago
🤦‍♂️ so I figure I need to get ahead of his return in order to grab him again.

I have him waiting in my IR waiting to return this week. I hope.
I just traded J Williams away this week only bc of Bensons return.

Best thing about Benson is that his replacements have been bad. He will be the primary lead back upon return. Imo

Maybe. He had a knee injury and has been out at least four weeks. Whenever he comes back I expect them to ramp him over a couple of weeks this wasn't an arm injury or something where he could stay in game shape.

It was a meniscus. Who hasn't had multiple meniscus surgeries? Ha ha. I've had 5 done. I had one done in my sleep and woke up ready to roll. It's nearly Benson time.

They are all different. JJ McCarthy took a year and you weren't ready to be a NFL rb.

Eligible to return. Not a lot of actual update past few weeks really. His replacements have been meh at best. My gut says the primary rb job is his. First game back might be time share, but then it's him until he gets hurt again.

Considering I traded for him a few weeks back, I wholeheartedly welcome his return.
