Entire original cast of Arrested Development signed on for new season

Nothing speaks to how overrated this show was than that everyone of the blinding talents who made it a bellweather program are still available to do TV.

I know it's not cool to make TV as an actor. I know it's more prestigious to make movies. But you'll agree that television has featured some brilliant comedic acting over the years.

Really liked PTA's direction and the concept of the story, but Adam Sandler's character was holding me back from really loving this movie. Can't quite put my finger on it - maybe too maladjusted? 6/10

This is the only Sandler movie I've seen that was worth a ####, and I wish Sandler would do more serious roles.

I thought he was fine in the movie, just didn't like his character.

I still enjoy the older movies - Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, even Wedding Singer. Agree that his is good at being serious, but most of the time he does odd serious movies that nobody notices - Reign Over Me, Punch-drunk, etc.. hasn't had the mainstream role ala Jim Carrey.

Not sure - I know I saw it when it first came out and thought it was decent, but I don't remember a thing about it.

watched the BBC "the trip" with steve coogan. i think everyone knows that i am fan of coogan and it should come as no surprise that i enjoyed this. it's more amusing than funny. on some level this reminded me of "tristam shandy" which is no surprise given his pairing with winterbottom. i'm sure he's a bundle of insecurities, neuroses, and the like. they seem to come out of him in those reflective, solitary moments captured on film and yet he's still compelling to me.

Curb Your Enthusiasm

I am a big fan of this show, and I watch re-runs regularly on demand.

I wanted to comment here about the episode where the girl scout has her first period selling cookies to Larry. As funny as it was, I must say that the show did a brilliant job with the subject. While it's totally uncomfortable, here's a singular instance where Larry actually handles something awkward very well.

One of the best scenes of the season, if not series was him figuring out those instructions and explaining them to that girl.

I Love You, Phillip Morris - The gay "Catch Me If You Can". I was curious as to why a caper comedy as true & unbelievable & compelling as Frank Abagnale's story, from the people who brought you "Bad Santa", featuring a performance by Jim Carrey that makes the one Clooney's about to win an Oscar for look like a teen sitcomer, died on the vine like it did. I must conclude that it has something to with scenes of the star slamming a butt as its owner exhorts him to decorate his interior with ejaculate or dying of AIDS in a prison infirmary. It is certainly not for lack of humor or entertainment - I laughed out loud a dozen times, gasped with delight a couple more & applauded at the end. One of the half-dozen best movies of this century. 4.58/5

There is a lot to love about that film.I still use Aye, and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd be a wagon with regularity.

Mega film boner- looks like atom egoyan is directing a movie about the west memphis 3 based on the book Devil's Knot.

Drive.

The music and the stylizing made it feel like a movie from the 1980's without being cheesy. Liked that aspect of it. The performances were all good but have no problem with Brooks not getting a nomination.

Thought it was a tight little movie. Cool opening car chase scene. The ending left me a bit wanting but the more I think about how the characters ended up feeling about each other the more I like it.

Definetly worth checking out.

Haywire

Good fight scenes, and a decent action flick overall. But soundtrack is plain weird. It has a decidedly 60s vibe - which is cool. But the music doesn't enhance the drama at all. The music is good enough to pass for late 60s Miles Davis, but it brings the movie down a notch.

Not sure why I watched this. I guess I was just curious. I like Steve Martin and Owen Wilson and I'm pretty much over Jack Black, but I was interested in seeing what was so bad about this. It wasn't as bad as I expected though.. it was just super tame and pretty cheesy. Very few laughs, I'd guess they were going for a more realistic feel, dialogue-wise, and trying to stay true to what I'm assuming is a pretty tame book.

Kinda stinky but I stuck around through the whole thing, to see how it ended up. Probably something you could watch with old people.

I think "Tom Goes To The Mayor" was by far their best work. These guys are hilarious. But in 2012, we've seen so much shocking stuff, I think the whole Shock Comedy thing is pretty cliche at this point.

I just watched Moneyball and thought it was amazing. It's pretty obvious they messed around with the events and people for drama's sake but it is IMO easily the best performance of Pitt's career. And the girl who played his daughter was .

Somebody loaned me a copy of Captain America but I'm reluctant to watch it because I'm afraid I'll be disappointed.
