I'm redoing my basement and thought above the pinball machine idea. But there are a lot of moving parts on those things. Any idea how often they break or where you go/what you have to pay for breakfix/maintenance?You didn't say what your price range was but you can get a good pinball machine for about 2k - 3k.
On sale $36 under invoice. What a bargain. This is on sale

One of my biggest regrets is not buying the one I saw across from Universal Studios when I was there in 99
Awesome. Someday I'm going to finish my basement and when I do I want to build a MAME cabinet too.MAME cabinet as others have suggested but with Buck Hunter and Golden Tee. Starting a build on one in a month or two.

Have built one before. A little different this time as I'm just going to mount a TV to the wall and build the controls right into a bar top.Buzzbait said:Awesome. Someday I'm going to finish my basement and when I do I want to build a MAME cabinet too.

Can build it for significantly cheaper without ordering all that stuff prebuilt. Probably around $300 not including TV.Buzzbait said:Looks like about $1700 based on that link I posted.
A) Still better than the $3k if you bought one
B) Labor of love. I think it be a fun project and you can tailor to your liking.
