You didn't say what your price range was but you can get a good pinball machine for about 2k - 3k.

I'm redoing my basement and thought above the pinball machine idea.  But there are a lot of moving parts on those things.  Any idea how often they break or where you go/what you have to pay for breakfix/maintenance?

It's time to embrace the cheap LED lighting revolution.  My pool deck looks like a mid-90's rave scene.  I have orange lights, laser lights, color changing lights.  There is a lightning deal almost everyday on Amazon.

Poker table - can be used for board games, then re-purposed when the kids are older.

Video game system with latest just dance game as mentioned before, along with a Karoke machine.  Girls love singing and dancing.

Have built one before. A little different this time as I'm just going to mount a TV to the wall and build the controls right into a bar top.

Can build it for significantly cheaper without ordering all that stuff prebuilt. Probably around $300 not including TV.
