How does one get into a league like this. If the staffers form another league against posters from the board sign me up. I would love to have fun and learn at the same time
Speaking for myself, but I'm sure other staff have similar sentiments, we enjoy this game. That's why we are here and do what we do. That said, we don't have infinite time, so we can't do every league that we get invited to. I try to be selective in what I sign up for, as I'm pretty much running the gamut here in doing Dynasty along with some IDP and Auctions along with the usual redraft. That's a lot.I add a few leagues each year, and eventually (soon) I'll have to start bailing on older leagues just to maintain my sanity. I'm in too many leagues, yet I add a few each year.I've already added an auction that went crazy in the Dating Game with 15 other guys who wanted in, along with two Dynasty leagues (startup) - one IDP, one not. That's about all I can add. Part of that reasoning is (A) challenge, (B) enjoyment, and © benefit to FBG. By doing these 3 I gain more info for the site and better formulate opinions and strategies for each year. You don't want to even see my spreadsheet for keeping track of my leagues by Sept. 1.I could fill all my time with FBG activity, yet I have about 20 other things going on all the time. It's nice to be invited, but you can't be everywhere.I hope everyone understands.

hey acer,i know bloom from a league i cloned this one after, we talked quite a bit about the format and how challenging and fun it was. i ran idea of this league by him and he was on board right away, his commitment definately helped sway pasquino/grant/rudnicki (i did also know rudnicki before here).....poster wise, i just kind of solicited some of the active dynasty posters and it built from there. just kind of worked out....

Acer, From a poster who is not staff perspective, i would say be a regular solid contributor on FBGs, become competitive in whatever leagues you are in now (you never know who is a FGB) and be a good guy (most of the time at least) on both the boards and your leagues.

I'm still scratching my head over why Carlos proposed this trade:

Carlos Rodrigues gave up Year 2006 Draft Pick 19.14;Year 2006 Draft Pick 47.02Chris Overton gave up Year 2006 Draft Pick 30.16;Year 2006 Draft Pick 47.01
Maybe I'm missing some subtlelty, but he essentially offered to swap my 30th rounder for his 19th rounder in exchange for being able to move up one pick in the 2nd round of the rookie draft. I accepted the trade, but I don't get it.

Just climbing up the Rookie board 1 pick at a time...

Sooner or later I will have the top 3 picks

Then I can take over the world...

Muhahahahaha

I would think you could do better than that when giving up 11 slots in the veteran draft.

I would say you got a lot carried away. Be careful. There is blood in the water around you now.

I must admit that this league has taken my by surprise. We're now up to 40 trades before the initial draft has even started. I cannot wait to see what's going to happen after we've drafted the vets... :D

I predict more than 40 trades during the draft, easy.

The 46th round is actually the 1st round of the rookie draft. So it's more like:2.13 and 1.05 rookiefor4.02 and 1.02 rookie

Yeah, I think some guys are making trades just to make trades. Me? I'll make zero or 100...doesn't matter to me....as I only move on an offer (or make an offer) if I think my team will be in better shape as a result.

15 picks in the top 10 rounds, 21 picks in the top 15 rounds, 45 picks in the top 36 rounds. Moving down at the top, up in the middle and up at the end of a draft is practically the very DEFINITION of "BPA" and value-based drafting....at least in my book. <_<

Finally my trade cherry has been popped.....

Jake Parrish / AJ Moura Trade Jake Parrish gave up Year 2006 Draft Pick 46.08

AJ Moura gave up Year 2006 Draft Pick 6.09

Hey guys, I need some help. The website isn't allowing me to preselect Al Del Greco with the 1.01. What should I do?
