 Looking at the weak RB roster of your team coupled with the fact that you already have WR Roy WIlliams ... how did you pass on Peterson or Lynch at 1.1..for Calvin ??

----- HOW DOES THIS TEAM PASS ON A RB 1.1..??

Hall, Andre DEN RB

Bell, Tatum DET RB

Duckett, T.J. DET RB

Harris, Kay-Jay STL RB

Harrison, Jerome CLE RB

Pearman, Alvin JAC RB

Peterson, Adrian CHI RB

Turner, Michael SDC RB

Wright, Jason CLE RB

hmmmgut feeling i guess, i truely beleive that wr is the premium position in this league, i am strong at te where we can start 2 and gates was equivalent to rb8 or so last year.......that, coupled with the fact that i think calvin is the real deal and ap's running style and injury concerns (both concerns relatively small) pushed me just enough to take who i think is the bpa and half ### the rb position all year....

i dont think my team is any worse off than a team that has 2 solid rbs and say a poo poo te

of course, i am probably wrong and will have to trade for a rb by week 3, but i'll cross that bridge then ;)

I get it.. you already have Adrian Peterson and you didnt want to confuse yourself.. Calvin is the BPA ..true .. but with Turner still a Charger , your case would be "Special" for taking a RB at 1.1 despite AD's questionable injury history.

Now you're catching on. We let Brian live with his delusions. We even voice our worries to him about the health of his Adrian Peterson's shoulder just to make him feel good.

Meachem is in a better situation but I think Bowe is the better player with a higher ceiling. I was interested in trading up for Bowe there.

With the offer you sent you weren't too interested. :potkettle:

Also, I kinda agree with you. However, here is how I looked at it:

Meachem plays on a team loaded with weapons and has a pro-bowl caliber QB chucking the duck. He has a young, intelligent, successful coach that seems to have 'it'. I see stability there.

Bowe plays on a run first, second, and third team with instability at the QB spot. There are still questions around what type of WR rotation they are gonna try to use (if any). If Herm has a year or two of bad records he'll probably get axed. Not to mention their defense should be vastly improved, thus giving LJ better field position to leap-frog into the endzone. The offense may not be on the field a whole lot in the forseeable future.

But that's just how I see it.

are you familiar with the concept of negotiation and counter-offers?
This was a man in a hurry, Ruds. If you aren't putting your best offer on the table, then prepare to get left behind!
:goodposting: Don't worry Rud...it wasn't just you.

I like my WRs (and team) enough that I wasn't desperate to move up for Bowe. at WR, I do have Kennison so adding Bowe would lock up the #1 WR in KC for me...not sure that's a good thing though with the way that franchise is headed.

after looking at Jeff's roster, I don't see how he could pass up Bowe there anyway.

there is another player I'm interested in, but I don't think I need to move up this far to get him. if anyone else in the 1st is looking to trade down, let me know. I have 3 2nd round picks this year and 4 next year to work with.

1.1 - CJ

1.2 - AP

1.3 - Lynch

1.4 - Sidney Rice (*cough* reach *cough*)

1.5 - Russell "Da LOVE muscle"

1.6 - Meachem

1.7 - Bowe

Any progress since here?

was the live draft room used for the last 2 picks? b/c I didn't get an email.

it's probably better if people make their picks on the league site as much as possible and just use the live draft room for chatting.

Good ol' "Shake-n-Bake" Jake Bachman...

Always mucking things up.

When does he time out?

So, does Bloom actually believe his own rankings? Let's find out. ;)

16-team Dynasty Rookie Draft.

Here are the first ten picks:

1.1 - CJ

1.2 - AP

1.3 - Lynch

1.4 - Sidney Rice

1.5 - Russell

1.6 - Meachem

1.7 - Bowe

1.8 - Pat Willis

Who drafts at 1.11 you ask? Why your very own Sigmund Bloom.

Who does he take? (Drumroll, please . . . okay, that's enough.)

RB Michael Bush. :D

Don't believe me? See for yourself.
:bye:
