Reggie Bush (1 Viewer)

Reggie Bush is practicing on a limited basis, but is expected to be limited in his carries this week again with Stecker and Thomas getting carries. Assuming this holds true, which I can't see why Peyton wouldn't limit Bush with the success they had last week... is he even worth starting this week?

Many of the sites I've seen have him rated in the top 10 this week...but I just don't get that ranking unless you think he's going to get all the carries again. Or at least not share like last week.

What do you guys think will happen this week with Bush? I'm struggling trying to figure his value this week. Guys like K. Smith and Fargas are guys who don't have the explosiveness or maybe talent of Bush (or pass catching ability), but are more likely to get the rock 20+ times this week.

Anyway, are you starting him or benching him, and who are your options?

This is just my opinion but I have to believe if New Orleans is in a close game with the team leading their division that Payton will give Reggie the ball as many times as it takes. This is a must win for New Orleans. They already lost to TB once and they are 2 games behind with 5 to go. If TB wins this week they will win the divison. That usually isn't a good time to limit your best offensive weapon. Trust me all Reggie owners play him with confidence this week and don't look back. :moneybag:

From the other Reggie Bush thread.....

Reggie Bush (shin) returned to an unlimited practice Thursday.Bush was never in danger of sitting out Week 13, but his return to a full session likely shows the Saints are no longer planning to limit his workload. Bush was mainly utilized as a passing-down specialist last Sunday.

Between seeing Thomas and Stecker each get a dozen touches, seeing Stecker and Karney getting touches inside the 5 yard line, seeing Brees throw TD passes of 1,1, and 4 yards, seeing Brees run a TD in (most of which occurred with the team ahead), having a playoff spot locked up already in fantasy, a not so easy matchup against TB, and my overall dislike for Sean Payton, I'm gonna sit Reggie down for the week.

Sorry for the rant, but I want to know Reggie is healthy first. I don't think he's in the top 20 for this week. PPR is a different story where I'd say he ends up 10-15

I would tend to agree with you, but the fact that New Orleans did so well in their last game, and a lot of that came from throwing inside the 10 yd line and mixing up the RB rotation, makes me feel he might not get a full workload.

I caught Bush's weekly spot on Sirius yesterday. He said he didn't play much in the 4th quarter last week because the game was out of hand and he was not needed. He kept reiterating that the game against TB was their biggest of the season and it would be physical. Jim Miller asked him how the shin was doing and he said something like "All RBs are dinged this time of year, I'll be ready Sunday."

Opening statement:

"From a practice standpoint, (McKinley) Boykin - left knee - did not participate. Pierre Thomas has a bruised kidney from the game we just played and we held him out; we'll see where he's at. We're monitoring him. Yesterday it flared up on him again in his urine, so we just have to be careful and see where it's at tomorrow."

Was Pierre's injury something you recognized earlier but he seemed OK?

"Yes. He had it coming away from the game and he had tests done and everything seemed alright, and then after yesterday's practice he had some more blood in his urine, so we backed off today. We'll just watch and see where he's at tomorrow."

Reggie Bush was a full-go today?

"Yes. Reggie was full on everything. Brian Young was full on everything. Just the two really on the report. It was mostly third down reps today with some first and second down and our pretty standard Thursday schedule."
