It couldn't have been more than 4 weeks ago when this board was FULL of threads saying how big a bust Calvin Johnson was this year, despite his production being OK at that point. Last few weeks it has been Fitzgerald, who a lot of people were saying is not every week start material. After last week's 20 point burst, I think that'll start coming to an end as well, although i think the overall confidence is not there with Fitz yet, as it is there with Calvin.
Well, who is next? Who is an uber stud talent that one should target in dynasty leagues because they can be had for a pittance? Here is my list:
Larry Fitzgerald:
Despite his outburst, I still think that this uber stud can be had for a cheap price. As I wrote in another thread, this guy is one of the few ELITE talents in all of the fantasy football world. If there was a dynasty startup, I can't think of 5 players i would take over Fitzgerald. Some of you may have a lower opinion which is justified, but in no way can i see Fitz falling out of the top 10 in a dynasty startup.
Deangelo Williams:
This guy should be on the front page of this thread. With the sprained foot and his horrible production so far, this guy could possibly be the #1 target in dynasty leagues. You can have him for a lot less than you think. I truly think that a Ladanian Tomlinson straight swap is a possibility right now. It took me LT + Bowe to land Deangelo in my main dynasty format league 2 weeks ago. His value is lower now for sure. With his contract done, he will be elsewhere next year. He is turning 29, but has very little mileage on his legs. ONly 2 years of 200+ carries now. I think he has a good 3 years left of high production.
Crabtree:
Uber stud talent which can be had for minimal price in dynasty leagues.
Demaryius Thomas:
Just had someone offer him to me for Legarrate Blount in a dynasty format. I refused because it is not technically a dynasty league since we can only protect 6 players at no cost, and I didn't have room for him.
Jonathan Stewart:
In another thread someone is arguing that Jonathan Stewart should be DROPPED in DYNASTY LEAGUES!! Nuff said. You can get him for peanuts right now.
Mike Williams (sea):
Remember, this guy is only 25 years old. He has many years left and is showing why he was a top 10 pick in the NFL draft. The talent is endless with this kid. You can have him at a good price as he is not fairly valued.
Arian Foster:
This guy doesn't really belong on this list. He is not a beaten down value. But I don't think that he is being fairly valued in dynasty leagues. Most think that it is his situation. From all i have seen, they couldn't be more wrong. He is VERY talented and will be a stud for many more years regardless of his situatino.
Moreno:
Stud talent that could be had for a very cheap price. In dynasty leagues, he is a must get in my opinion. The only worry is his injury history.
Jahvid Best:
Everyone seems down on this kid. I think with Kevin Smith getting most of the 2nd half carries this week, you may have dumb owners in panic mode. Perfect time to strike another elite talent in a position that doesn't have too many elite talents.
Other people to target:
Spiller, Blount, Hillis ---these guys are being undervalued in dynasty formats in my opinion.
