Holiday Clearance Sale!!
Is that the play here?   I wouldn't mind taking my chances getting some very minor exposure at a bottom--but as another poster said--even with this re-correction--it's still up like 40% on the month.   Is the coinbase story behind bitcoin cash the primary reason behind this correction or is there something else propelling this action?

I can't imagine having millions in on this and riding these waves. What a freaking mess.
EXACTLY why this isn’t a feasible investment (plus having no real value or backing)...

This isn’t the bubble bursting though, not yet... think you’ll get a bounce in the next few days.

I wish I knew what was driving this. I was hoping for a dip so that I could get in but this downswing is a bit concerning.

This is an exciting time imo. Feel like I can get into the actual tech I'm excited about. Lesson learned by me, and thankfully it was a cheap lesson. :D
I'm still not fully grasping how to "get into the actual tech" here. That implies there is actually something of value behind these things. Is there a way to buy the tech without buying the currency itself, or am I hopelessly lost? A link would be fantastic.

Coinbase app sucks. I put in to buy more using my dollar amount and it never went through. Confirmed it and everything within the app. Piece of crap. Sell high, buy low unless they don’t want you to buy.

Grandpa Eugene had to panicsell his .002 bit coins to get his grandson the GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip.  It's science really.

There you go, RUSF - the old "Pick & Shovel" play.  Let me know what you find out.

Added .52 coins this morning. Could have had about .85 this morning but didn’t buy at the low. Wanted to move to Ether but haven’t yet.

I'm going to hop on the daily McAfee wagon and see where the wild ride goes. Converting it all back to ETH to be ready for the next day.

@urbanhack and @Clorox  I was looking to buy XRP, as well, and I think I've settled on Bitstamp but wanted to see if you guys had input there. It doesn't have a lot of other crypto options but they seem to have a decent track record.

2018 is shaping up to be a great year. I'm tossing mad money down on cryptocurrency and am going to start micro-dosing in January. The micro-dosing should have me zoned in on making trades. I'm going to be rich #####!

Thanks, I’m on the road but will take a look! Hopefully some of the pros in here have a suggestion too.

Imagine taking out a mortgage to buy bitcoin at $19K.

just hodl xD

so I had the idea to start trading these ranges last week and finally tried to put it in action yesterday.  tried to sell some REQ on Binance at 0.32.  looks like the trade is still in order (and of course it hit my target low of 0.23 this morning, but I couldn't buy anything back b/c the initial trade was still waiting).

I'm confused, why not just cancel the initial order?

I don't think we've seen the bottom yet.
Yeah, I'm pretty much waiting for the us gov to take a #### on crypto.  Seems inevitable after the extravagance and largesse on display this year.  Thinking of the Bitconnect scam, potentially unbacked Tethers, literally a berzillion icos for vaporware, money laundering, "terrorism" financing, "protecting the investors™", buttblasted bitcoiners crying to the SEC to shake down Coinbase.  The China thing showed us it's pretty easy for govs to upend crypto markets.  It would be incredibly easy to go after the exchanges.  I'll be pretty surprised if something like that doesn't happen the next few months.

It was only a matter of time before internet scammers like James Altucher and Tai Lopez found their way to Bitcoin too.  Hey bro, buy a bits coin, we will all be millionaires.

If that isn't a sign of latestage bubble I don't know what is.

Went with Binance. Faster signup and already transferred ETH from Coinbase and bought some Ripple.

BAT has been holding up well with all this turbulence.
It was interesting to watch all the majors take a dip while BAT remained steady.

Then the majors rebounded somewhat and BAT has ticked slightly up since we got in...

It looks like it may be a long hold afterall.

If BAT ever makes it to coinbase...WOOHOO!

Fake.

He took out a mortgage and then in a short time is getting "evicted"?
ya, that specific guy is full of it, but i'm sure there were a few people who actually did go into debt to buy BTC at the high.

In the end it could still work out but definitely moronic for someone to do something like that.
