I'm getting into the real estate game and plan to start building 4 plexes and 3 plexes in certain Southwest markets.  Was just curious if there were any FBGs with experience in this world?

I haven't built any... yet...   Almost did 18 months ago.  Four fourplexes.    Do have a client pending on a 4-plex build job that just broke ground.  Find a builder that specializes in 4-plexes.

I have a builder I trust, although he doesn't have 4 plex specific experience our design is simple enough I think he can handle it.

Any other pieces of advice regarding design, Lot, financing, insurance etc.?

make sure you do a soil test and make sure there is no hard rock, etc..  find a local bank that specializes in these loans
