RETURNING THE RAIDERS TO GLORY (2 Viewers)

INCREDIBLE PLAY!!!!RAIDERS had HAIL MARY formation and sent 5 WRs deep, D-JAX somehow found himself all alone in the end zone, and WHITFIELD sent a beautiful deep ball arcing in to him WITH ONLY 1 SECOND LEFT IN THE HALF!DARRELL JACKSON 39 yard TD RECEPTION!RAIDERS lead 24-14!Beautiful throw by the RAIDERS lowly backup RALPH WHITFIELD!

That will do it for the half!RAIDERS now have a 10 point lead at halftime, but with the great RANDALL MAGNUM out, they're still in grave danger!

R.B. FISK 64 yard TD RECEPTION!!WHITFIELD tossed it into the path of the speedster and he was off to the races!Suddenly the RAIDERS lead 31-14 and are accelerating away!

SKINS next drive underway and DE KENYON COLEMAN has just got hurt! He's replaced by reserve LB MARK STUBBS (a pass-rusher)BOTH STARTING DEs for the RAIDERS are OUT!

COLEMAN is back after a couple of plays! Phew! If he'd been out for any length of time, the RAIDERS would have had no pass rush at all! As it is, we've got a DT, DEE JENKINS, labouring away at one DE slot, and easily getting handled by the Skins line.

WHITFIELD has the RAIDERS moving again, he's just hit FISK for another first down into Redskins territory, the speedy #3 WR spinning for extra yardage. The RAIDERS WRs are making the plays, WHITFIELD is just having to lay it out to them.

PHILLIP BUCHANON 34 yard INTERCEPTION RETURN for the TOUCHDOWN!He snared an errant DOUGLAS pass and raced to the end zone. It's not raining for the SKINS, it's POURING!45-17 and the silver and black legions are going wild!

CB PHILLIP BUCHANON is MVP for his INT return for a TD, but some might argue that backup RALPH WHITFIELD deserves the honor. When RANDALL MAGNUM got hurt, the RAIDERS were clinging to a narrow 17-14 lead. 197 yards and 3 TDs later, the RAIDERS had waltzed to a 45-17 victory behind WHITFIELD's passing!

THE OAKLAND RAIDERS DYNASTY is officially PROCLAIMED!If three titles in four years is good enough for the Patriots, it's good enough for the RAIDERS!RANDALL MAGNUM and the RAIDERS enter history as a DYNASTY!

RETIRED:DERRICK BROOKSDENNIS NORTHCUTTBROOKS goes out a champion, having joined the Raiders in the final year of his NFL career and having played a key part in the Raiders wildcard run through the playoffs to SUPER BOWL victory.NORTHCUTT became somewhat associated with Keystone Cops-style returns, you never knew if he was going to fumble the punt or return it for a TD. Great KR though and useful reserve WR for the last 5 seasons. PHILLIP BUCHANON will now assume primary KR duties.

RE-SIGNED:MO COLLINS (31/7)SHANE LECHLER (11/7)RALPH WHITFIELD (2.5/1)After his SUPER BOWL heroics, WHITFIELD deserves another season as backup to RANDALL MAGNUM. He's not one to keep for the long-term, however, because his overall ranking is average and will decline because he's not the principal starter. COLLINS is an unsung hero in the trenches, LECHLER a great punter, both are worth tying up to long-term deals.

NOT RE-SIGNED:Gerald WatsonFred LaneDerrick GibsonLonnie DexterMark StubbsThe only player of note here (the rest are scrub backups) is DERRICK GIBSON who had a very solid five seasons as the RAIDERS starter at SS. The arrival of TANK WILLIAMS has made him expendable, however.

DRAFT:OK, the positions we need to urgently address in the draft are:LE (KENYON COLEMAN is a solid starter, but it's time to draft BABY DEMON and unleash him)FB (B.J. ASKEW is also a solid starter, but it's FULLBACK FRO time)C (KEVIN MAWAE only has a few seasons left)T (LINCOLN KENNEDY only has a few seasons left)As ever, if there's a superb HB we would jump at the chance to draft him, it's just that it seems there never is... so old FRED TAYLOR will have to do for now.

One thing to note before we start the draft - RANDALL MAGNUM has progressed to a 99 OVERALL RANKING.This makes him a living deity. What an extraordinary QB - in all his seasons of glory BRAD SMITH never went up above 96. But now MAGNUM is up there at the hallowed mark of 99, into the hallowed halls of eternity.
