Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots (1 Viewer)

I really doubt he plays as well, but NE is fighting for the bye over DEN and HFA, and theyre playing 1 of the best teams in the league, so Hoody rolling him out there wouldnt surprise me in the least. Not chancing it fantasy wise though.

Rob Gronkowski injury: Patriots TE limited in Wednesday practice

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was limited in practice on Wednesday. Gronkowksi returned to practice on Friday, Dec. 14 for the first time since breaking his forearm on Nov. 18, but did not play in the Patriots Week 15 loss to the 49ers. His status for the Patriots game against the Jaguars on Sunday is undetermined.

The initial prognosis was that Gronkowski would be out for four to six weeks; had he returned for the 49ers game, that would have been four weeks after breaking his arm. Last week it was reported that the Patriots were planning to bring him back in Week 17 as a tuneup for the playoffs, but that has not been confirmed.

In 10 games this season, Gronkowski has 53 receptions for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns. His 10 touchdowns lead all tight ends in the league. The Patriots have already secured the AFC East title, but are still playing for playoff seeding.
'Mularkey: Jaguars will prepare for Gronkowski

FOXBORO -- Rob Gronkowski did not play in Sunday night's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but his return to Patriots practice late last week has many wondering if the tight end will be ready to make his return from a four-game absence on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jags' coach Mike Mularkey said on Wednesday that his team is indeed preparing for a Gronkowski return.

"Yes, yes we will," said Mularkey, when asked if he'll prepare for the Patriots' tight end.

"He's obviously a threat we've got to be aware of on all plays," added Mularkey. "We've got to be aware of everybody. I had Wes [Welker] in Miami with me, so I know everything about Wes, his capabilities, his toughness, and everything about the guy. That just puts more burden on us that they've got [Gronkowski] coming back, and we've got to prep for that, which we are going to."

Gronkowski was present during the media access portion of today's Patriots practice.
Tom Brady sits out Wednesday's practice; Rob Gronkowski limited

Tom Brady did not participate in Wednesday's practice, while tight end Rob Gronkowski was limited.

Brady, who threw a career-high 65 passes Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, was listed with a right shoulder injury. He was hit seven times and took three sacks during the game.

"It was a physical game, so yeah, I think everyone is a little sore from that game," Brady said prior to the practice.

Gronkowski, who is fighting his way back from a broken forearm suffered Nov.18, practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday. He also practiced Friday. It is not yet known if he will be available to play Sunday against Jacksonville.
