Mathis has not had many good matchups all year.
Then WTF isn't that taken into account with the projections from week to week? Mathis has been shown as a top 15 DL every week in the projections. You guys have wiffed big time on Mathis and Hali all year and I keep playing them and getting crap points. Couple that with a bunch of bad offensive performances and my team isn't doing well. And the best part is that I paid for this info.

1. Grow a pair.2. Get involved in forums rather than simply plugging in guys from projections.

I have found that blindly following the Defensive Cheatsheets in setting ones lineup may not be a great idea. Use them as a guide, but they are not canon.

I don't expect exactness, but to not be in the ballpark on these two for 4 straight weeks is pretty weak. I didn't say a thing when all FBG indications were to play Mathis & Hali for weeks 2, 3 & 4 and they didn't meet expectations. After week 5, its time to call a spade a spade. The FBG "experts" don't know anymore than I do about D-linemen.I don't follow the Cheatsheets blindly, but primarily use the MyFBG projections because our league's scoring system is highly irregular. The long story short is that it rewards high tackle numbers. They have projected Mathis with 4 or more total tackles for each of the last 4 weeks and he has gone 1,2,1 & 1 over that span. Getting 1/2 to 1/4 of the projected production for 4 straight weeks isn't good. Hali hasn't been as bad, but he has been UNDER the projections every single week this year (including a zero in week 4). Being under on 8 out of 8 projections is poor performance.

FBG needs to re-evaluate Mathis and start projecting him more where he should be.

I've learned my lesson, I guess. You can't count on FBG info. Makes me wonder what I paid for if I can get "better" info from the free forums.

I'm not sure what is expected here. It's pretty clear that the original poster is upset with how his team is performing, as I'm sure many are who drafted any number of stud IDPs who aren't performing thus far in 2007. It should be clear to those who follow the forums and read the printed subscriber content and listen to the free podcasts that the entire IDP staff puts a great deal of thought into our IDP content. Not to speak for John Norton, but I know that he spends a significant amount of time examining trends and matchups when putting the projections together each week. Each staffer does the same with the preseason rank lists.

It should also be clear that we are more than willing to tackle the tough subjects (we devoted an entire podcast to the underperforming studs two weeks ago), but I don't think any of us (vet posters or staff) are interested in engaging posters that are circumventing the language filter and attacking other posters, in frustration or otherwise.

To be clear, the above isn't directed at CJF. There have been more issues with, shall we say, less than civil posts in the IDP forum this year. Disagreements are fine, but this forum takes pride in calm discussion backed up by opinions and analysis. It's pretty loosely moderated by myself and a couple of others, but we will begin deleting posts that attack other posters or mess with the language filter if they become anywhere near more than a rare exception.
