Roddy White - Well, looks like he has screwed us all (2 Viewers)

Seriously. I can't tell you exactly where Roddy fits in Week 14, but he is clearly below Antonio Brown and ahead of Burleson. Those aren't even close calls.

FWIW, I'm currently debating between him and Andre Brown at flex in a 0.5 PPR league.

This is the week he will screw people over by NOT starting him. Matchup looks too good to resist.

If I am conservative, I sit him but if I don't need the win or want to swing for a fence, I am playing him. Doesn't have anything to do with a level of confidence because none of us can do that but that's my drawing line.
Best of luck to you. I hope he goes off--in your lineup and on my bench.
I should make comments like this more often..LOL..won me a close matchup yesterday.

Rotoworld:

Speaking after Sunday's win, Roddy White said that his ankle is still an issue, but that he's a "football player."

White did not suffer a setback, but let it be known he's still not 100 percent despite his 10-catch, 143-yard performance. "So I'm going to get myself out there and fight with my teammates every week, if I can," White said. "If I feel like I can go out there and be productive, I'm going to go out there and help my team win." Despite White's comments, he looked by far the best he has all year, and can be trusted as a high-upside WR3 for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.

White or Douglas the rest of the way. Ughh. Douglas was inches away on several occasions from having a monster day himself. Maybe both will be solid. I hope so.

I think there is enough for both. .. that defense sucks and they will need to throw

Maddening.
I've had White as a keeper in my $$ league for a couple of seasons now. To have him spring this game now while on my bench...

My failure to divine his production this yesterday cost me the playoffs. My bad. :wall:

One thing to keep in mind about White in Week 14. The matchup vs. the Packers is outstanding but there could be seriously vicious weather at Lambeau on Sunday. Keep an eye on that if you're thinking about starting White.

Just to rub salt in the wound for everyone that held out till this week to drop him.
I think the word you're looking for is "womb"...
WTF? who's rubbing salt in wombs?
New thing...chix are goin' crazy over it.
Must be a Canadian thing.
Oh great, no shoes allowed in the house and now this.
It was a bit of meme on here last year. I guess no one else remembers it..

Yea, well that will still be less maddening than it will be for those of us who make the playoffs and decide to throw him in over our other options that got us there, thanks to this game, and will be rewarded with 2 for 30 or the like.

He's going to have to make it two consecutive games by doing well at GB before I'd feel confident inserting him in my playoff lineup. More than okay with him going off on my bench.

The final F.U. for many owners....finally showing up in top form in the championship game where even if you had him, you sat him.

Had to start him at flex actually. Was down by 14 heading into the game.

So he helped at least one of us for championship week. Probably not many though given his year but his last 4 weeks were actually pretty good.

Roddy does nothing all season including last week at home vs a weak was team. Then he goes away vs sf and has his best game all season? He normally sucks on grass and sf is a top def. Makes no sense. If you started him good for you but it made no sense to start him. Yes I sat him and am bitter as it cost me a title in one league. Never again roddy...

I didn't really have many better options. It was either Roddy, Caldwell, or Patterson.

I played allen, aj, and hilton over him. All seemed like better plays and all did very little

Can't fault you for that. I was torn on playing him but figured Atlanta could get behind and have to throw a bunch. I was pissed early when he had a bunch of catches but no yards. That 39yd TD catch won my league for me.

started him over Rice, who had a nice matchup vs NE in a ppr. Felt like he was their top WR and projected SF to blowout ATL, figured he'd rack up a lot of garbage time production.

Needing 5 points last night Roddy White brought the championship home. Vernon Davis laid the egg. I sat Michael Floyd due to tough match up and gambled on White.

I still feel, given the end of the season, that Roddy has some short term value. Ryan is more than ample at QB, and a return to health by Julio Jones ensures White gets mostly single coverage.

Something like a 75/870/6 line is a reasonable projection. Thinking high end WR 3 territory, perhaps low end WR 2 if everything comes together.

Rotoworld:

Roddy White said he's working with the Falcons on a contract extension.

White is entering the final season of the six-year, $48 million deal he signed in 2009. Extension negotiations are going to be tricky because he's 32 years old and coming off a year that was marred by nagging hamstring and ankle injuries. But his camp can point to the final five games in which he averaged 8.6 catches for 100.4 yards with two touchdowns. "I do want to stay here the rest of my career. ... We're working to try to get something done. They want me to be here, I want to be here, so let's make it happen."

So how we feeling about Roddy next season?
contract year if ATL doesnt do an extension
Last year was his only year of major injury. We all saw that he rolled his ankle then rushed back and by doing so he hurt his hamstring. He will be back to his normal self next year at 80/1200/8. Unless he rolls his ankle or some other injury that any other player in the league has a shot at getting. I'd be worried if it was his knee though.

Rotoworld:

Roddy White was arrested early Tuesday morning on a failure to appear warrant.

White was booked in the Gwinnett County Jail just before 4:30 AM on Tuesday and was released 90 minutes later on $168 bond. The 32-year-old allegedly failed to appear in court on a warrant stemming from a citation for tinted windows. White shouldn't face any league discipline, and this is the last we'll hear of it.

Why on earth would you predict such low numbers for roddy?? Are you convinced he will be hurt all year again?

He is 32 so his numbers have to suck because he is one year older. Just because a WR isn't 27 does not mean that they won't produce. This age stuff goes too far. Yes Julio is the #1 WR but Roddy will still perform as a High WR2. 80/1100/9 is reasonable considering how much Atlanta passes and would put him at his lowest numbers since 2006 (Not counting last year, he was clearly playin hurt). Looks at his last 5 games last year when he was fully recovered from his injury, studly.

The Falcons are meeting with the agents for Roddy White on Saturday to discuss a possible contract extension.
White is currently set to make $6.34 million in the final year of his contract, so the Falcons are looking to sign him to an extension that would allow him to end his career in Atlanta and also lower his cap hit. Coming off an injury-marred 2013 and entering his age 33 season, he could be willing to accept a team-friendly deal. White had 63 catches, 711 yards, and three touchdowns in 13 games this past season, grading out as just the No. 91 receiver by Pro Football Focus.

RT @roddywhiteTV I lost a bet and I will give him tickets to the bears game since he is a bears fan done with this bet
The funny thing is that IF White congratulated the guy and did spend the 10K or whatever it is to buy him the tickets, he would get a TON of positive publicity. He is making a big mistake by trying to go cheap. Own up. Pay up. And people will love you for being a man of your word. For whatever the cost it, it would be well worth it.

You think it's worth to pay up like 10 grand just to get some positive message board posts??

he is giving the guy 1 game. THat guy should be super excited.

It wasnt a real ####### bet, so that one game is one game more than that guy should have expected.

It's not a bet because the other guy didn't have any skin in the game.

Still White shouldn't come off on twitter acting like that.

I think it most definitely is--he would get a lot more cred than "some positive message board posts." You obviously do not understand social media. And by giving him 1 game, he gets nothing--he is basically conceding that he "owes" the guy but he isn't paying up.
